Nicholas Cote is a 2019 OF/RHP, UT with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Londonderry, NH who attends Londonderry Senior High School. Medium, athletic frame with present strength proportioned well throughout frame and incorporates strength into overall game. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, short steps to the baseball, fields the ball cleanly to side, shows a full arm action through the back, can generate more momentum through release. Works with an over-the-top arm slot in the infield, extra steps moving into release, glove plays well out front, shows quickness to lateral movements. Moves well coming off the first base bag and pivots well, shows athleticism to footwork with arm strength on throws. Also pitched, simple on-line delivery and stays compact; incorporate lower half well with hip turn at top; stays short through the back side with arm action working to a high three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly true in life with occasional arm side run. Short curveball with 11-5 shape at 71 mph; flashed changeup with developing feel. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open and spread stance; generate nice bat speed through the zone and shows quickness to hands. Does a nice job of getting the barrel out with extnesion at point of contact; able to work all fields and found the barrel well, best contact off the barrel to pull side with carry. Named to Northeast Underclass Top Prospect List.
