Henke-Reed was very impressive this weekend in our first showcase look at him. He was able to run the FB up to 88 mph, showing natural riding action up in the zone. Used a big 12/6 CB, with sharp action and depth as an out pitch late in the count. Very good athlete who showed some natural actions in the outfield as well. Overall, great performance on the weekend, and one that should garner much interest.
Corey Bennett

Bennet was electric on the mound for the Royal team on Sunday. At 6-foot-3, 165-pounds there is great upside in his frame, moving with great coordination on the mound. Shorter arm action, wtih a 3/4 arm slot. FB reached as high as 87 mph, hitting 85-86 multiple times. FB has some ride through the zone, where he gets good extension out front. Flashed a solid CB with 12/6 action to it. Interesting uncommitted 2023 arm available.
Ethan Froud

Froud was impressive all weekend for the White team. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound SS/RHP was electric during workouts and the game portion. Right-handed hitter in the box, has a narrow base with quicker hands allowing him to control the barrel well. Had a clean round on defense, throwing 89 mph across the INF. Ran the FB up to 85 mph on the mound as well. Impressive athlete with loud tools.
Carter Belton

Belton had a loud weekend, showcasing top end speed and good bat-to-ball skills. An advanced runner, stealing numerous bases on the weekend; ran a 6.62 60 yd dash. He hits from a wide base, showing snap snap in the barrel with a middle-of-the field approach. High upside for Belton.
Damin Churchman
2B - 2023 - Ankeny, IA

Churchman was consistent as them come all weekend long. The INF/RHP stands at 6-foot, 175-pounds with wiry strength in his frame. Showed well all around, accumulating multiple hits duirng the game portions including an XBH down the leftfield line. Churchman threw 83 mph across the INF, along with 83 mph off the mound racking up 3 K's in his 1 inning of work.
Ayden Benson
RHP - 2023 - Rogers, AR
Fort Scott CC
Benson looked the part in his time on the mound this weekend. The Fort Scott CC commit, throws from a side-arm slot, creating a ton of arm-side-run low in the zone. Good feel for running the FB inside on RHH's. Paired the FB with a 9/3 shaped SL that produced large horizontal movements. The frame is strong and durable, looking to project well long term.
Seungmin Song
C - 2024 - Chesterfield, MO
Maine
Song was a standout all weekend long. Our first showcase look at him, was fantastic and provided great insight to his skillset. The 6-foot, 195-pound athlete is an all around athlete with big arm talent. Recorded a top INF velocity of 90 mph, 80 from behind the crouch, and topping at 86 mph on the mound. Has some big power at the plate with a very clean RH swing. An uncommitted 2024 who is flying under the radar right now. should garner big time interest soon.
Nathan Negre
SS - 2024 - Aurora, MO

Negre showcased some outstanding attributes all around the field at the Central Prospect Showcase. Started the event running a 6.52 60 yd dash, throwing 90 mph from the OF, and recording an exit velo of 88. The skillset is there and ready for the next level. Interesting uncommitted 2024 that should garner much interest moving forward.
Eli Lovich
OF - 2024 - Overland Park, KS

Lovich looked the part during the workout portion this weekend. A tall, lean 6-foot-4, 175-pound athlete moves free and easy in the box with a simple approach. Creates good leverage from his stance, showing big pull-side juice. Recorded at top throw of 85 mph from the OF. There is a ton of upside in the frame for Lovich.
Boston Bruce
C - 2024 - Atchison, KS
Johnson County CC
Bruce has an all around game to him that really stood out this weekend. The tools are present and as he adds more strength to his frame they will continue to develop and become loud. Absolute gamer during his at-bats and catching behind the dish, showing great juice to the middle of the field. Softer hands behind the plate, that stood out with his vocal leadership as well.
Landon Brewer
OF - 2024 - Buckner, MO

Brewer is another big time athlete from the event, that stood out in multiple ways. Brewer ran a burning 6.35 60 yd dash to start his weekend. The arm is still developing but showed some promise as ball hawk in the OF. RHH who had a linear approach at the plate, showing some gap-to-gap power to the middle of the middle of the field.
Mark Ross, II
3B - 2024 - Springfield, MO
Central Arkansas
Ross II had a quality showing this weekend, blending his workout results with production during the game. He had a loud workout session, recording a 6.77 60 yd dash along with throwing 89 mph from the INF. Ross shows good barrel control in the box, looking to damage and backspin line drives to use his speed on the bases.
Landon Young
3B - 2024 - Ofallon, MO

Young put together some impressive numbers on the weekend. Recorded a top throw of 89 mph from the INF, showcasing some developing footwork and rage to the middle of the field. Live arm that plays from the left side of the field. RHH in the box, he uses a vertical approach looking to lift balls into the OF with carry.
Michael Reem
C - 2024 - Maple Grove, MN

Reem had the most hits at the event this weekend, leading the way during the game portion with multiple XBH's. Threw 75 mph out of the crouch, that also lead to the lowest pop time of the event at 1.90. There is some strength in the frame and feel for the barrel in the box. I like the long term upside here in Reem.
Chase Porter
OF - 2025 - Kearney, MO

Porter is another quick-twitch athlete who shined this weekend at the Central Prospect Showcase. Ran a blazing 6.53 60 yd dash, showing a quick first step and long term speed. Switch-hitter who has good barrel control and a true high bat-to-ball hitter in the box. Throws were recorded at 80 mph from the OF. Produced many stolen bases and base hits during the game portion. A 2025 prospect who should be on the radar right now.
Elijah Helberg
RHP - 2025 - Holt, MO

Helberg had a good overall weekend. Strong, well built frame that looks to project nicely as more strength is added. He showcased well on the mound flashing a 3-pitch mix for strikes with good deception to keep hitters off balance. The CB has plus potential in the future with sharp, late break. Helberg took a good round of BP as well, working from middle to the opposite side of the field.
Karter Wheeler
RHP - 2025 - Blue Springs, MO

Wheeler showed really good traits for a 2025 prospect this weekend at the Central Prospect Showcase. Started his event off running a 6.91 60yd dash, threw 84 mph from the OF, and up to 82 mph on the mound. Good potential in his 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame that will continue to develop as more strength is added. Produced well in games.
