Game Highlights: 2-Royal Vs. 3-White

Caegan Sensenich (2025, Braymer, Mo.) was able to pull a ball through the right side. Excellent pull-side knock, getting the ball through the 4-hole and collecting another base hit. 

 

Seungmin Song (2024, Chesterfield, Mo.) jumped on the first-pitch fastball and drove it to left field for a base hit. Great job to leverage the baseball and drive it pull-side for a knock. Manned the hot corner well, making smooth plays, and throwing hard across the diamond to record outs.

 

Karter Wheeler (2025, Waverly, Mo.) worked up to 82 mph on the mound and was able to get on the opposition early with his fastball. He held the low-80s and mixed in a slider that he spun well, getting righties to chase when located low and away. Picked up a punchout over 2 scoreless innings.

 

Drew Weir (2025, Sioux Falls, S.D.) was able to jump on a fastball, driving it to the gap in left-center. A hard-hit ball that he barreled up, picking up a base hit on the play. Got a good jump and stole second base during the next at-bat.

 

Carter Belton (2023, Olathe, Kan.) was shaded towards the left-center gap with a left-handed hitter, got on his horse, and tracked down a ball sliced into shallow left field. Dove and made a spectacular catch. Showcased some opposite-field skills with good bat-to-ball.


Connor Mendell (2024, Saint Peters, Mo.) was able to attack the first pitch and drive one into right field on the ground for an easy base knock. Also was 80-82 mph on the mound in an inning of work where he commanded the zone well. Picked up a strikeout over his scoreless inning.

Alexander Woods (2024, Tulsa, Okla) came out and attacked hitters from the get-go. Worked up to 82 mph on his fastball and held 80-82 mph with some life when located arm-side. He mixed in a breaking ball with some depth to it. He missed barrels and induced swings and misses. Pitched 2 innings, punching out 5 hitters, allowing just 1 hit.

 

Connor Jones (2023, Belton, Mo.) was able to get the barrel to a fastball and drive it the other way. Sent it on a line into right field, seeing it down. Hustled out of the batters’ box and legged out a triple on the play.

 

Jack Naujokaitis (2024, Overland Park, Kan.) jumped on a fastball and drove it through the left side for a base knock. Gets the hands out in front and sends it hard on the ground for an easy base hit. Also was smooth on the mound. Worked up to 79 mph on his fastball that carried, pairing it with a big breaking ball that had good shape and excellent depth. Landed it for strikes and induced swings and misses. He pitched 2 innings and punched out 3 hitters.

 

Michael Reem (2024, Maple Grove, Minn.) continues to get it done in the batters’ box. Gets the barrel to the baseball and drives it into left field for another base hit, his third of the day. A solid pull-side line-drive base hit from the right-handed hitter.

 

Nick Befort (2024, Granite Bay, Calif.) continues to find ways on base, getting the ball to drop in the outfield. Befort continues to get the barrel to the baseball and drive the ball into the outfield, including another fastball he turned on, dropping it into shallow right-center for a base knock.

 

Boston Bruce (2024, Atchison, Kan.) turned around a fastball, sending it back up the middle for an easy base knock. Good job to stay on plane and get through the zone with some strength behind it, driving it into centerfield for a base knock.

 

Seungmin Song (2024, Chesterfield, Mo.) pieced together a solid performance, working 84-85 mph while reaching back for 86 mph. Had a controlled delivery and was able to mix in a breaking ball with good 11-5 shape which was a problem for the opposition. Picked up a punchout over an inning of work.

Nick Befort (2024, Granite Bay, Calif.) was able to roll one through the right side to kick things off. Got the hands to the ball, and sent one through the 4-hole into right field for a base knock. Solid leadoff hitter.

 

Connor Jones (2023, Belton, Mo.) continues to find the barrel. In the first inning, he got things started with a base knock to the opposite field. Send one through the right side into right-field. Showed off smooth actions on a slow-roller back up the middle. Charged it well and made a quick transfer with a smooth throw across.

 

Michael Reem (2024, Maple Grove, Minn.) turned on a fastball, brings the hands in, and drives it to deep left field. Nearly left the yard, hit the padding on the wall, and stayed in for a double. Showed the ability to lift the ball pull-side with some juice present in the 6-foot, 175-pound frame. Picked up another base knock on a line drive to centerfield, connected with a fastball, and drove it.

 

Alexander Woods (2024, Tulsa, Okla.) jumped on a fastball, getting the barrel to the ball, using the strength present in his frame to drive the ball to the gap. Saw it down as it rolled to the wall for a double. 

 

Chase Porter (2025, Kearney, Mo.) stayed back on a slider and drove it into right field on a line for a base knock. Great job to stay on time with the breaking ball and drive it. In his next at-bat, he was able to pick up another base knock. This time he stayed on the fastball and drove it into left field for another base hit. Ran hard on the base paths and swiped second base on the first pitch of the next at-bat.

 

Landon Young (2024, O’Fallon, Mo.) lined a fastball right back up the middle for a base hit into centerfield. Good job to get the hands through the zone and match planes with the fastball and drive it.

 

Ajani Henke-Reed (2023, St. Charles, Mo.) took a fastball the other way for an opposite-field base knock. Good job to barrel up the baseball and produce a backside line drive. Nice piece of backside hitting.

 

Corey Bennett (2023, De Soto, Kan.) came out and attacked hitters. His fastball got up to 87 mph and was able to work the low- to mid-80s. He commanded the zone well and mixed in a breaking ball that he had a great feel for. Landed it for a strike and was able to induce swings and misses. Punched out 5 hitters over 2 innings of work, allowing just 1 base hit.


Elijah Helberg (2025, Holt, Mo.) barreled up a ball and drove it to right field. Hustled out of the box and picked up an easy base knock on the line-drive base hit.

Batting Practice Highlights

Nick Befort (2024 OF, Granite Bay, CA) showed off a nice swing today during BP. The LHH has a physical frame with a lofted approach. Has big intent behind his swing with some good bat speed to match the barrel control. 

Dean Booker (2023 OF, Arnold, MO) hits from a wide base at the plate. Showed some good bat speed at the plate, looking to drive the ball to the middle of the field. Showed big juice during BP, hitting multiple balls to the wall during his round. 

Boston Bruce (2024 C, Atchison, KS) showed off good feel for the barrel at the plate today. Bruce showed some snap in his hands, looking to drive the ball in the air with loft. Had some good pull side power during his round as well. 

Damin Churchman (2023 2B, Ankeny, IA) has an XL frame in the box. Displayed a line drive approach at the plate. Backspun numerous balls, using a gap-to-gap approach. Really good approach in the box, looking to find barrels and staying balanced through his swing. 

Connor Jones (2023 2B, Belton, MO) uses long levers in the box to find the barrel during his round today. Jones has a thinner, wiry frame but still produces some good thump on the ball when finding the middle of his barrel. Quality bat-to-ball skills here. 

Nathan Negre (2024 SS, Aurora, MO) has a square stance at the plate, covering a ton of ground in the box. Has big intent in the box, showing off some big juice during his round today. Projects for good power down in the future. 

Michael Reem (2024 C, Maple Grove, MN) is very vertical in the box, having an open front side providing much leverage in his swings. Mostly opposite field contact, but it was very loud. Showed off a line drive approach with a flat bat path, that ran into some balls going to the warning track as well. 

Cooper Greene (2024 MIF, Roeland Park, KS) swung with a tall vertical setup at the dish. Greene has high hands and high back elbow in his stance. Showed off quality bat speed and a linear bat path. 

Connor Mendell (2024 C, Saint Peters, MO) showed off some quick hands, and above average bat speed during BP today. Swings from a wide base, using more of a top half rotational style of hitting. Works well, showing some good pop during his round. 

Chase Porter (2025 OF, Kearney, MO) used big bat speed during his round today. The switch-hitter swings from a narrow stance, working into the lower half during his load. Has some good juice in his bat for his frame. 

Eli Lovich (2024 OF, Overland Park, KS) showed huge upside during his round of BP today. Lovich has an extremely desirable frame with long levers and wiry strength in his LH swing. Polished approach with quick hands and barrel control. 

Adam Seymour (2024 OF, Shawnee, KS) swung from a wide base today. The LHH, looked to pull the ball with authority. Some uphill contact in his bat path, getting to extension with ease. Showed off some pull side juice during his round earlier today. 

Ethan Froud (2023 SS, Blue Springs, MO) was polished today during BP. The 2023 shortstop followed up a good infield round with quick hands at the plate as well. Froud hits from a narrow stance, with high hands and above average bat-to-ball skills. Really impressive today. 

Mark Ross, II (2024 3B, Springfield, MO) uses a wide base in the box to cover all parts of the zone. Swings with a very uphill bat path, looking to lift balls into the air with authority. Some carry on his swings, showing off some pull side juice. Really projectable hit tools. 

Seungmin Song (2024 C, Chesterfield, MO) showed off a loose swing at the plate today. Song has snap in the barrel, looking to hit line drives to all parts of the field. The ball comes off the bat nicely with some carry and loud contact.

Joshua Pilege (2023, Blue Springs, Mo.) was able to muscle a fastball pull-side into left field. Turned on it and showed good strength, driving the pitch into left field. Was up to 80 mph on the mound and was deceptive. Created tough reads, mixed in a breaking ball with good shape. Had a good feel for spin throughout the outing and cruised early on.

 

Mark Ross II (2024, Springfield, Mo) jumped all over a slider over the middle of the plate, sending it hard through the left-side for a hard-hit groundball into left field.

 

Nick Befort (2024, Granite Bay, Calif.) got things started for his team with a good swing, sending the ball into right-field on a line. Hustled out a single after barreling up the fastball.

 

Damin Churchman (2023, Ankeny, Iowa) was able to bring the hands in and drive a fastball to deep left field. Drove it to the wall in left field, hustling to second for a stand-up extra-base hit. In his next at-bat, he was able to turn on a fastball, driving it down the left field line for another double.

Seungmin Song (2024, Chesterfield, Mo. ) was able to get the hands in and drive a ball hard down the left field line, keeping it just inside the bag in fair territory. Was quick out of the box and hustled to second for a double, advancing the runner to third.

Colton Roberts (2025, Derby, Kan.) worked up to 81 mph on his fastball that he threw to both sides of the plate. He mixed in a slider as well with good depth and tilt to it. He was able to pitch to contact and induce weak contact. Smooth outing overall, delivering 3 innings pitched, punching out 3 opposing hitters.

Connor Mendell (2024, Saint Peters, Mo.) stayed short to the ball and drive a fastball back up the middle on a line. Sent the pitch into centerfield for an easy single to kick off the inning. 

 

Drew Weir (2025, Sioux Falls, S.D.) picks up a double to right field. Got the hands to the ball and drove it to the opposite field for a double.

 

Jake Wheeler (2025, Sioux Falls, S.D.) was able to move up the runner to third base after a nice line shot into shallow centerfield, shaded towards right-center. He was direct to the ball and drove it hard into the outfield for a base knock.

 

Joe Yetter (2025, Kearney, Mo.) lifted a ball to the opposite field. Drove it deep enough to score the run on a sacrifice fly. Solid swing to do a job from the right-handed hitter.

 

Ethan Froud (2023, Blue Springs, Mo.) came out throwing strikes, working 81-84 T85 mph on his fastball. He mixed in a curveball with good shape and bite to it that induced weak swings. He was able to stave off the opposition and piece together 2 solid innings of work, punching out a batter as well. Also was able to hustle out a single on a hard-hit ground ball down the hard the left field line. Turned on the pitch and laced it just inside the bag and hustled out a single.

 

Corey Bennett (2023, De Soto, Kan) was able to send the ball back up the middle for a base hit. Showed off some strength in his frame, sending it hard back through the middle after barreling up a fastball.

Ajani Henke-Reed (2023, Saint Charles, Mo.) was dominant on the mound early on. Ran his fastball up to 88 mph and mixed in a stellar 11-5 breaking ball with some bite to it. Attacked hitters early, changing eye level with the fastball and finding success that way. Completed 3 innings of work, striking out 4 opposing hitters, and allowing just 1 base hit. 

 

Ayden Benson (2023, Rogers, Ark.) came out and challenged hitters with some deceptive and tough looks from a low-arm slot, working sidearm. His fastball had arm side run and sink, being able to jam right-handed hitters on the inner-third of the plate, running it in on the hands. He also showed a slider with a ton of sweep to it that kept hitters off-balance. Benson punched out 5 hitters over his 3 innings of work.

 

Boston Bruce (2024, Atchison, Kan.) stays short to the baseball, driving a ball back up the middle for a base knock in his first plate appearance. Kept himself in a position to hit, getting his barrel to the baseball with a direct path.

 

Cooper Greene (2024, Roeland Park, Kan) was able to turn on an inside fastball and drive it through the left side of the infield for a base hit. Good job by Greene to get the hands in and get the barrel to the baseball. In the second game of the day, he was able to turn on a fastball and drive it hard down the left field line. Hustled out his second base knock of the day on this hard-hit grounder.

 

Gannon Miller (2025, Ozark, Mo.) was able to stay direct to the baseball, driving one the opposite way, seeing it down in the gap in right-center. Grabbed a base hit on the opposite-field knock. A solid piece of hitting to stay on a fastball getting in towards the hands.

 

Jack Naujokaitis (2024, Overland Park, Kan.) was able to stay on time for a changeup and send it to deep left field. Got the hands to the ball and lifted it pull-side for a nice barrel that rolled to the base of the wall.

 

Braden Roberts (2025, Wichita, Kan.) got to a fastball and drove it back up the middle, hustling out of the box and beating out the groundball for an infield single.

 

Trevor Sutherland (2025, Farmington, Mo.) sent a hard liner back up the middle for a single, picking up the base hit. Quick hands through the zone for the base hit.

 

Charlie Bernstein (2026, Leawood, Kan.) takes a fastball the other way, sending it deep to left field. Was able to see the flyball down, as it rolled to the wall. Hustled around the bases for a triple. In the third game of the day, he made an exceptional throw to get a runner out at the plate, trying to advance on a would-be sacrifice fly. Got behind the ball and made an accurate throw to home plate.
