2030 Top Prospects
Luke Holasek  RHP - 2030 - Magnolia, TX

Holasek had an impressive weekend overall, showing off the arm and offensive projection at the plate. Holasek ran the throws up to 88 mph in outfield drills and 87 mph in infield drills to show his defensive versatility. On the mound, Holasek ran the fastball up to 86 mph, and with the 6-foot 160-pound frame, that should continue to tick upwards. He also recorded an event-best 85 mph exit velocity, and he should continue to grow in strength at the plate as well.

Royxet Mestre  3B - 2030 - Houston, TX

Mestre was a good watch throughout the weekend, showcasing well in workouts and games. Mestre ran the throws up to 81 mph in the outfield with carry while showcasing the feel for the glove and smooth transfers. He also had a nice showing on the mound, running the fastball up to 81 mph with the loose arm action and showed good extension down the mound. Mestre also showed good strength with the bat, recording a tee exit velocity of 81 mph.

Parker Amend  C - 2030 - Spring, TX

Amend had a nice showing with the glove in the workout portion of the showcase, showing off the soft hands with lateral quickness to the feet while running the throws up to 78 mph during infield drills. Showcased nicely behind the plate as well, recording a 2.01 pop time in drills. He also showed off the barrel control and feel at the dish with a simple operation and rotational strength in the swing.

Israel Alcala  3B - 2030 - Richmond, TX

Alcala had a good showing on the mound and at the plate, tallying two doubles and running the fastball up to 80 with good life. Alcala has plenty of strength out front to impact the baseball pull side, and the swing works with a controlled approach from the right side.

Brooks Aduddell  2B - 2030 - San Antonio, TX

Aduddell showed off the versatility on the diamond over the weekend, showing solid tools all over the diamond. Aduddell ran the fastball up to 78 on the mound with a quick arm action and a breaker with sharp horizontal action. He also ran the outfield throws up to 80 mph with good carry to them. At the plate, Aduddell had a good showing in BP, showing off the ability to impact the baseball to all fields.

Eduardo Gonzalez Toledo  3B - 2030 - Mabelvale, AR

Gonzalez Toldeo had an impressive showing in drills, running the throws up to 80 mph from the outfield and the solid bat at the plate. Gonzalez Toledo showed good feel with the timing of the feet in both the outfield and infield, and was able to show off the fluid bat path at the plate with some strength.

Blaine Peery  C - 2030 - Montgomery, TX

Peery impressed during the infield workout, showing off the bounce to the feet and good approach to the baseball. Peery also has some solid arm strength across the diamond on throws, and he gets the baseball out with urgency on grounders. Peery ran the throws up to 79 mph on infield drills.

Mason Gonzales  3B - 2030 - College Station, TX

Gonzales had an impressive showing on the dirt, showing the soft hands with a nice arm across the infield. Gonzales approaches the baseball with two hands out front and a fundamental operation. He ran the infield throws up to 76 mph in drills.
