Mason Gonzales is a 2030 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-4 130 lb. frame from College Station, TX who attends College Station. Primary 3B/MIF with a smaller young build with lots of growing ahead of him. Moves well to the ball taking good angles and gets it out with pace. Quick transfer and release with young budding arm strength that projects for more. Easy athletic mover with footwork. Also pitched using controlled leg raise to belt. Works online well and throws form mid 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 71 and could locate. Showed good feel to spin it with curve getting upwards of 2100 RPM and showing true 12-6 shape. Showed promise off the mound. Also ran a 8.67 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a narrow upright base. Utilizes a small leg lift and stride out into contact with rocked back weight transfer mechanism for timing and rhythm. Showed good bat speed with strong ability to leverage. Good rhythm and clean finish to it with level swing path and head stays on ball well. Good overall feel for the barrel and impact should come around with added strength. Named to the PG 14U Texas All-State Games Top Prospect List.
