2021 Top Prospects

Dylan Koontz  3B - 2021 - Huntersville, NC
Campbell

Koontz shows as a stocky, broad shouldered power hitting utility guy. The lefthanded hitter had the most impressive offensive performance of the event. He homered 4 times in batting practice and once in game. He was also up to 87 mph on the mound as he pounded the lower half of the zone. He plays a very solid thirdbase and proved he had some feel for the corner outfield spots as well.

Hudson Mimbs  SS - 2021 - Macon, GA
Kennesaw State

Mimbs was extremely impressive as he excelled in all facets of the game. He plays an athletic shortstop and has a strong arm as he threw it an event best 89 mph across the diamond in drills. He also pitched well as he was up to 88 mph and had a hammer of curveball. The bat also plays in a big way as he punished baseballs all week. He took an impressive gap to gap batting practice and created loud contact during games as well.

Ephraim Bravo  OF - 2021 - Hialeah, FL
Nicholls State

Bravo was very impressive in the outfield as he utilized a lean, 6-1 build. He threw an event best 89 mph during drills in the outfield. He also swung the bat well during batting practice and games. With a linear swing, he kept his hands inside the baseball and drove it gap to gap, depending on where it was pitched. He also proved to have some power as he drove one off the leftfield fence.

Austin Cole  OF - 2021 - Canton, GA
Columbus State

Cole proved himself as a twitchy type ball player as he showed as athletic in all aspects of the game. He ran a 6.76 second sixty yard dash. He played a rangy outfield and had a strong arm to compliment the glove as he threw it 87 mph in drills. He also pitched well as he delivered from a side arm slot and was up to 83. He also swung it will as he generated big time bat speed with strong hands. Some pop to the pull side showing during his at bats.

Wyatt Stevenson  SS - 2021 - Atlanta, GA
Uncommitted

Stevenson flashed himself as a scrappy, high motor guy. He plays a rangy shortstop and has very strong arm across the diamond as he threw it 87 mph during workouts. The bat also plays for the right-handed hitter as he squared balls up consistently and drove it around the park on a line. His baseball IQ was advanced for his age as he had true feel for the game.

Francis Thorne  OF - 2021 - Atlanta, GA
Jackson State

Thorne took the mound as 6-6 lefthanded arm and carved hitters up. He was up to 86 mph on the mound as he got ahead early with the fastball. He mixed in a nasty slider that he dropped on the back foot of righthanded hitters. He also mixed in a late breaking changeup that kept hitters off balance. Thorne also swung the bat well as he doubled deep into the left-center gap in game.

David Cherwonuk  LHP - 2021 - Ringgold, GA
Georgia Highlands

Cherwonuk showed as a submarine type lefthanded pitcher who had a legit three pitch mix. His pinpoint command for pitches was on full display. He changed eye levels and missed barrels. He also took a solid batting practice as he lifted baseballs into the gaps with ease, utilizing that big build he has.

Thomas Cheatham  OF - 2021 - Philadelphia, MS
Northwest Mississippi CC

Cheatham was uber athletic standing at 6-3 and lean. He ran a smooth 6.72 second sixty yard dash and carried that speed into the outfield with him. His arm strength was prevalent as he threw it 87 mph in outfield drills with throws direct to target. In the box, he threw hands at the baseball, as he looked to drive it on a line and use his feet to create opportunities.

Kros Sivley  LHP - 2021 - Sumrall, MS
Uncommitted

Sivley utilized a physically sturdy build as he showed as a true two way type prospect. On the mound, he was up to 87 mph and mixed in a tight breaking slurvy curveball that got swings and misses. At the plate, he swung with intent as he generated backspin and drove the baseball deep into gaps.

Charlie Condon  1B - 2021 - Marietta, GA
Georgia

Condon showed a long, wiry type firstbaseman who could swing the bat. Standing 6-5, he scooped baseballs and had a strong arm as he threw it 85 mph in drills. In the box, he generated some torque with the long levers as he punished baseballs. He drove the baseball back up the middle on a line and proved he could drive it for power as well to the same part of the park.

Joseph Slattery  SS - 2021 - Charlotte, NC
Florida Atlantic

Slattery showed as a fundamentally sound infielder as he made every play and was accurate with throws. He swung the bat with intent to do damage and found barrels consistently. He also showed well on the mound as he was up to 82 mph and hit spots. He also mixed in a tight spinning 11-5 breaking ball.


2022 Top Prospects

Sammy Leis  C - 2022 - Cumming, GA
Alabama

Leis was extremely impressive this week. Behind the dish, he flashed advanced skills with the glove and had a very strong, accurate arm as he recorded a 1.86 second pop in drills. In the box, he punished baseballs as he drove it on a line to all fields. He doubled in game and found barrels in his other at bats as well. He also hopped on the mound and was up to 86 mph while mixing in a slurvy breaking ball.

Brady Disbro  RHP - 2022 - Dana Point, CA
Mississippi

Disbro flashed an athletic 6-3 220 lb. frame and put it to excellent use. The primary righthanded pitcher was up to 88 mph and sat in the mid 80's throughout his outing. He also mixed in a hammer of a 12-6 breaking ball that kept hitters off-balance.

Hoke Skipper  RHP - 2022 - Blackshear, GA
Uncommitted

Skipper proved himself as one of the top two way prospects in the event. On the mound, he was up to 85 mph with the fastball and mixed in a sweeping slider. He gave up no hard contact to opposing batters. His infield actions project at the corners as he has a strong arm, throwing it 85 mph in drills. The lefthanded hitter created some separation and drove baseballs on a line. Proved to have some power to the pull side when he got extended.

Grey Brannen  1B - 2022 - Elko, GA
Middle Georgia State University

Brannen utilized a large frame standing at 6-5 and he proved to be athletic, running a 6.93 second sixty yard dash. At the plate, he flashed a violent swing as he punished baseballs. In game, he proved he could handle velocity and squared up baseballs with ease.

Tony Pluta  C - 2022 - Palatine, IL
Arizona

Pluta utilized a very strong lower half as he impressed in multiple facets of the game. He was up to 86 mph on the mound as he generated easy velocity with the lower half. He had raw potential behind the dish as he showed some soft hands and a plus arm, recording a 1.86 second pop time in drills. Pluta also swung it well as he utilized a slightly uphill swing path, driving baseballs gap to gap.

Andrew Ruggeri  LHP - 2022 - McLean, VA
Pennsylvania

Ruggeri proved to be uber athletic as the primary lefthanded pitcher ran a 6.83 second sixty yard dash. On the mound, he was up to 82 mph as he generated some angle. He mixed in a curveball that he threw in any count as well. In the box, he showcased a longer bat path that generated some barrel speed as he pulled it for some power.

Luke Boykin  OF - 2022 - Jesup, GA
State College of Florida

Boykin flashed a lean frame with some room still to fill out physical. He ran a smooth 6.89 second sixty yard dash and showed that speed in the outfield as well. He showed as fundamentally sound in the outfield as he threw it 81 mph in workouts. He also found some barrels in the box with big juice to centerfield as he generated lift with ease.

McDonald McCommons  C - 2022 - Greensboro, GA
Navy

McCommons proved himself as a legit utility guy as he played multiple positions well, including some action on the mound. Behind the plate, he sat athletically in his stance and had a strong arm. From the outfield, he made good reads and was up to 86 mph in drills. He also played a solid firstbase and threw 89 mph during workouts. On the mound, he worked downhill and ran his fastball up to 85 mph. He flashed a linear swing in the box and found barrels consistently.

Nicholas Noto  SS - 2022 - Huntersville, NC
Samford

Noto proved himself as a fundamentally sound middle infielder who has some pop in the barrel. He played a somewhat rangy shortstop and threw it 77 mph during drills. In the box, he threw hands at the baseball and had some success driving the baseball deep to the pull-side, including a double to leftfield during the action.

Andy Holub  3B - 2022 - Bronxville, NY
Iowa/Wake Tech

Holub showed as a physically strong prospect standing at 6-2. He ran well for his size recording a 7.01 second sixty yard dash. He played a defensively solid thirdbase and had a strong arm to go with it, throwing it 86 mph across the diamond in drills. The bat also plays, proving he could generate some power deep to centerfield.


2023 Top Prospects

K. Xavier Pelzer  LHP - 2023 - Cayce, SC
South Carolina

Xavier Pelzer impressed on the mound with an advanced fastball, changeup mix. He was up to 82 mph with the fastball and had pinpoint command of it. The changeup was far advanced and he tunneled it extremely well for his young age. He mixed pitches and did a great job of changing eye levels.

Paul Farley  RHP - 2023 - Kennesaw, GA
Georgia

Farley first and foremost showed a long, lean frame with some room to fill. The righthanded pitcher delivered from a funky angle, creating issues for opposing hitters. He was up to 83 mph with the fastball. Curveball had late bite
