Batting Practice Highlights

Anthony Locastro (2026 LHP, Venetia, PA) stayed consistent throughout his round, as he sent several well-struck line drives from gap-to-gap. He stays simple with his move into launch and has some compact hand speed to deliver the barrel on-time. 

Brady Yarabinetz (2025 OF, Murrysville, PA) used a leverage stroke to impact the baseball with authority through the middle-of-the field. He has strength in his hands, creates torque with his lower half and displayed plenty of present bat speed. 

Jonah Willochell (2025 OF, Murrysville, PA) generated easy bat speed and showed a good feel for the barrel during his round. He created whip to his barrel, delivered in on-time and frequently to produce several loud line drives to the right centerfield gap. 

Jacob Stavrakis (2025 3B, Bridgeport, WV) took one of the louder rounds of the day, as he leveraged numerous well-struck line drives from gap-to-gap throughout his round. He does a nice job of staying on-plane and delivers the barrel with authority. 

Colton Temple (2027 1B, McDonald, PA) did a nice job of staying consistent during his round, as the left-handed hitting 2027 impacted the baseball well through the middle-of-the field. He stays loose with his hands into contact, creates plenty of present bat speed and has strength in his hands. 

Massimo Falconi (2026 SS, Canonsburg, PA) used a simple, repeatable stroke to find the barrel often during his round. He stays direct with his hands, has quickness to his hands and uses the entire field effectively. 

Anthony Grippo (2026 C, Mount Pleasant, PA) impressed with his ability to constantly find the barrel throughout his round. He used his strong hands to impact the baseball with authority and has good feel for the barrel. 

Eric McAllister (2027 3B, Dysart, PA) found the barrel quite often through the entirety of his round, while showing projectable gap-to-gap power. He creates leverage out in-front, has plenty of present bat speed and stays simple throughout. 

Tanner Stroup (2026 LHP, Altoona, PA) took perhaps the loudest and most consistent round of the day, as the physical right-handed hitter generates tons of present bat speed and loud impact. It is a loose, leveraged stroke with good separation, plenty of strength at impact and legitimate usable power. 

Joe Safar (2025 OF, Wexford, PA) produced another loud round, as the hulking 6-foot-6, 225-pound outfielder uses his levers to create monster bat speed and impacts the baseball with immense strength at contact. He stays behind the baseball extremely well and has loads of strength in his hands.

1 - Black vs. 2 - Orange Game Highlights

Tanner Stroup (2026 LHP, Altoona, PA) lit up the radar gun on the mound. He topped his fastball out at 89 mph and moved it around the zone efficiently while inducing several swings and misses. The 6-foot-3 left-hander utilized a balanced, repeatable delivery with a powerful drive down the slope. He displayed impressive command of his three-pitch mix, landing both a sharp 1-7 breaker and fading changeup for strikes.

Hawthorne Moody (2025 RHP, Seattle, WA) put together two impressive innings of work, striking out five batters while topping the heater out at 83 mph. The fastball showed plenty of arm-side run with life through the zone. The 6-foot-2 right-hander mixed in an 11-5 breaker with spin nearing 2500 rpm as well as a fading changeup. Moody showed plenty of confidence with intriguing pitchability on the mound throughout his two frames.

Jibreel Long (2025 RHP, Harrisburg, PA) put his arm strength on display, running his fastball up to 88 mph while making quick work on the mound. The 6-foot right-hander wears an uber-athletic frame and demonstrates smooth, linear movements down the slope. He mixed in a late-dipping splitter that killed tons of spin, landing it for strikes down in the zone. Long also threw a slurvy breaking ball later in counts, manipulating shape and speed with it.

Joe Safar (2025 OF, Wexford, PA) put his power on display at the plate. The 6-foot-6 225-pound right-handed hitter took a first-pitch fastball for a ride to centerfield early on in the game, and later launched another heater into deep left-center field. Safar has tons of strength in his hands and impacts the baseball with authority to all parts of the diamond.

Anthony Locastro (2026 LHP, Venetia, PA) struck out a handful of batters during his two innings of work on the mound. The 5-foot-10 left-hander has the ability to land all three of his pitches for strikes at any time. He moved the fastball around the strike zone effectively, topping it out at 79 mph. Locastro has a good feel for both his 1-7 breaking ball and fading changeup. He utilizes a balanced, repeatable delivery with smooth lower-half movements down the slope.

Lucian Place (2026 UT, Newtown, CT) was productive on both sides of the ball. The 6-foot-2 left-handed batter finished 3-for-3 at the plate, lining all three baseballs up the middle for base hits. He gets his foot down on-time and controls the barrel well in and around the strike zone. On the mound, Place tossed one quality relief inning, running his fastball up to 79 mph while moving it around the strike zone efficiently.

Anthony Grippo (2026 C, Mount Pleasant, PA) timed up a pair of fastballs, lining one up the middle for a base hit early on and carrying another into deep right field during his final at-bat. The 6-foot-2 right-handed hitter has nifty bat-to-ball skills along with the ability to create extension through the zone and backspin baseballs from gap to gap.

Alex Curran (2026 RHP, Stratford, PE) put together two quality innings of work, running his fastball up to 84 mph. His delivery and arm speed appeared to be effortless as he induced multiple swings and misses from hitters. The 6-foot right-hander was also able to land his 11-5 breaker and split-finger for strikes later in counts. The splitter killed tons of spin, showing big tumble action late.

Brady Yarabinetz (2025 OF, Murrysville, PA) jumped all over a fastball and carried it into right-center field for a base hit. The 6-foot-1 right-handed hitter has the ability to create carry to both gaps, and impacts the baseball with intriguing strength.

Eric McAllister (2027 3B, Dysart, PA) showcased his skills on both sides of the ball. On the mound, the 5-foot-8 right-hander utilized an athletic delivery with smooth movements down the slope. The fastball showed life to it and peaked at 82 mph. McAllister also landed a well-replicated changeup that killed spin and mistimed hitters. At the plate, he showcased his consistent barrel skills by lining a heater through the left-side.

Chase Lemke (2025 MIF, Murrysville, PA) showed off his developing power tool by carrying a baseball into the gap for extra bases. The 5-foot-10 left-handed hitter can create backspin and loud impact to both alleyways when timed up.

Anthony More (2026 C, Greensburg, PA) barreled up a fastball, lining it through the left-side for a base hit. The 5-foot-9 right-handed hitter showcased his ability to manipulate the barrel in and around the strike zone while finding it on a frequent basis.

Freddie Beyer (2026 OF, Bloomfield Hills, MI) drove a baseball through the left-side for a single. He controls the barrel well throughout the strike zone, creating good strength at the point of impact. The 5-foot-10 right-handed hitter showcased intriguing barrel skills and adjustability.

Johnny Bertucci (2025 SS, Oakmont, PA) delivered his barrel on-time, producing a well-struck liner up the middle for a base hit. The 6-foot right-handed hitter has present bat speed and strength in the hands, paired with the ability to leverage baseballs to all fields.
