Sam Harris (2023 1B, Urbandale, IA) showed off the easy power keeping the hands back on this off-speed before sending it deep over the right-field fence for a no-doubter.
Jarron Thompson (2023 RHP, Aurora, IL) used the fastball effectively running it up to 91 in two innings. Ball moves across the zone a bit, pretty balanced up there. Showed a slider that is real sharp when he gets around on it, collecting two strikeouts to only one hit allowed. Has a quick and athletic arm.
Brayden Olson (2023 RHP, Saint Croix Falls, WI) fills up the zone and challenges with every pitch from a three-quarters slot. Very quick and efficient innings. Has quality secondaries and can throw them all for strikes. Comfortable with the change-up, curveball has much bigger shape with a tighter slider.
Aden O’Donnell (2023 RHP, Bettendorf, IA) executes FB locations well, spots it up where he wants it. Very polished and controlled with a heavy fastball, up to 91, likes to challenge up the zone. Curveball with 12-6 shape that works well down in the zone. Collected three strikeouts.
Rowan Donels (2023 RHP, Cedar Rapids, IA) sharp SL with late cut., sharp pitch with depth when thrown glove side. Not afraid to challenge with the fastball, that peaked at 91 with good arm side run on the hands. Collected four strikeouts to only one hit allowed in two innings of work.
Jaixen Frost (2023 SS, Kellerton, IA) showed off a good all-around game collecting two hits in game including a loud double to the left-center field gap. Continued to show off the bat speed and strength that was a highlight during batting practice. Also impressed when on base collecting a stolen base and two runs scored.
Cal Sullivan (2023 C, Ely, IA) continued to impress with his willingness to go to the opposite field with a single into right-center field for an RBI. He wasn’t done in game yet either adding another solid hit back up the middle. Also showed the upside when on base collecting a stolen base.
Myles Davis (2024 SS, Marion, IA) continued to have the power swing working in game collecting an RBI on a double to deep center field. Continued to impress with the strength and balance in the box.
Ethan Hindle (2023 SS, Delafield, WI) showed off all the tools getting on plane and smashing a line drive the other way for a triple. Impressed with the speed beating a close throw to the base on the hit.
Tyler Welch (2023 RHP, Davenport, IA) showed off a very polished and controlled operation. Used the fastball that was 85-89, and a very good SL with depth and sharp bite that he can get swing and miss on, collecting two strikeouts in two innings and that he can throw in the zone for strikes. He also flashed a big CB with significant drop as well.
Eli Nissen (2023 LHP, Minot, ND) works quick and is very efficient on the mound. Filled up the zone with each pitch. Showed off four pitches, starting with the fastball that was up to 90, he also showed a nasty change-up that he tunnels very well. Showed a big 1-7 breaker with sharp action and depth, and a slider that is a bit firmer. Crafty lefty with impressive pitchability who can get swing and miss with all four of his pitches.
Drew Rerick (2024 RHP, Fargo, ND) attacked hitters with his best stuff during his two inning outing. Challenged at the top of the zone consistently and showed the ability to dot his fastball, up to 92, on the corners and then drop the 12-6 curveball with sharp downer action and depth either into or out of the zone for the strikeout, collecting five of his six outs via the strikeout.
