Tervell Johnson (2020 3B, Atlanta, GA) used his physical strength well to generate whip to the barrel while staying short and compact to the ball. He worked the pull side consistently and was able to generate big bat speed through the zone with hard jump off the barrel.
Dominic Scavone (2021 SS, Orlando, FL) showed an easy and repeatable swing from the right side while staying short with his path and is able to turn on the ball well. He projects physically and should only continue to make strides with added strength gains though he already shows a nice feel for the barrel at present.
Triston Horst (2021 OF, Lititz, PA) utilized a short and simple swing in the box and knows how to incorporate his physical strength while staying compact to the baseball. He handled the barrel well in his round and was able to show some leverage while repeating nicely swing-to-swing.
Luke Chenault (2020 1B, Lake Hopatcong, NJ) is a physical presence from the left side of the plate and put together an impressive round while still projecting for more in the future. Showing balance to his swing, Chenault stayed short to the ball while generating loft off the barrel and leverage out front with plenty of quickness.
Termarr Johnson (2022 SS, Atlanta, GA) is one of the younger players in attendance but continued to put together a nice showing. Johnson, a lefthanded hitter, showed looseness to his hands while staying short to the ball and displayed a present feel for the barrel while still projecting for more in the future.
Erick Pena (2021 OF, Santo Domingo, NC) made the trip from the Dominican Republic and put his skillset on display. At a long and lean 6-foot-3, the lefthanded hitting Pena showed the ability to generate backspin to his pull side and present looseness to his hands while creating carry to all parts of the field.
Noah Smith (2021 SS, Chicago, IL)showed both present tools and long term projectability in the batter’s box with a long and lean 6-foot frame and a short swing with quickness to his hands. He got the barrel to the ball well and showed the ability to turn on the baseball while creating backspin, something that will only continue to become more frequent with added strength.
Keegan Allen (2021 OF, Rogers, AR) used a simple toe tap trigger for timing to his swing and he did a nice job of getting the barrel out front, consistently working the middle of the field. With a full swing path, Allen did a nice job of repeating his swing and showed both a present and consistent feel for the barrel.
Payton Allen (2021 SS, Rogers, AR) showed an extended and fuller swing path through the zone with easy hands too. The ball carried well off the barrel for Allen when he was on time with his weight transfer and he also showed ability to generate back spin to his pull side.
Reese Smith (2021 SS, Denham Springs, LA) showed a nice feel for the barrel and did a solid job of repeating his mechanics from the right side, getting the barrel to the ball frequently. With a short and simple timing mechanism Smith was able to generate carry off the barrel despite his listed size while showing line drive contact as well.
Gavin Kash (2021 1B, Sour Lake, TX) put together one of the better rounds on the day thanks to his physical 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame and short, quick swing from the left side. The ball jumped off his barrel to the pull side with natural leverage and loft and should only continue to develop with added strength.
Jacob Mata (2021 3B, Waxahachie, TX) carried his hands lower through the zone but still put the barrel to the ball consistently and did so with strength. It’s an easy swing for Mata who’s able to generate sound bat speed through the zone thanks in part to his physical build.
Derek(DJ) Radtke (2021 RHP, Marietta, GA) is listed as a primary pitcher but put together a nice round of batting practice, showing a direct righthanded swing and a full and fluid path. The bat speed will continue to increase as he fills out his 6-foot-3 frame though he repeats well currently despite his tall frame.
Michael Braswell (2021 SS, Mableton, GA) has a long and projectable frame and present tools which will only develop with added strength. He worked the middle and opposite parts of the field with line drive contact and showed quick hands to his swing while staying short to the ball.
Hunter Elliott (2021 1B, Tupelo, MS) is a lefthanded hitter from Mississippi who shows strength to his swing thanks to his physical 6-foot build. He was able to generate solid carry off the barrel to his pull side when extended and stayed short to the ball with present bat speed.
Aidan Berger (2021 SS, Palo Alto, CA) made the trip out from California and continued to impress with his overall play. A lefthanded hitter, Berger showed an easy and fluid swing while handling the barrel very well. He stays simple with his approach and was able to execute it with a direct path and quickness to his hand.
Bryan Loriga (2021 3B, Hialeah, FL) is physically built and was able to incorporate that strength into his swing while showing quick hands and pop off the barrel. When he was on time Lorgia was able to work all parts of the field with leverage off the barrel.
Kyle Tako (2021 OF, Hollywood, FL) is strongly build and already committed to Florida International thanks in part to his righthanded bat. He uses his strength well while staying short to the ball with path with present bat speed and leverage out front to his pull side.
Jordan Lawlar (2021 SS, Irving, TX) took an easy round of batting practice and will only continue to make strides as he continues to fill out physically. His hands work well and he was able to barrel up the ball more often than not while staying short to the ball with an overall clean swing path.
Preston Wright (2021 OF, Mascoutah, IL) took a loud round of batting practice and impressed as he was able to create solid torque in his swing while generating loft off the barrel. A lefthanded hitter from Illinois, Wright showed an easy and linear swing path and projectable power moving forward.
Nicholas Regalado (2020 RHP, Miami Lakes, FL), a Miami commit, put some of the more notable strength on display of the event, powering the ball to all parts of the field. The strength came easy for Regalado who stayed short to the ball with leverage out front and plenty of jump off the barrel.
