Booga de la Garza is a 2021 SS with a 5-10 153 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends McCallum HS. Medium, athletic frame with slender build, good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.29 seconds, speed played better in game situations. Sets up to hit from even-based stance, loose swing with some extension on line drive plane, showed ability to work to the middle of the field consistently and go gap-to-gap, good balance to sing with rhythm, shows solid contact skills overall. Worked out in the infield, has range and twitch to footwork, solid infield actions overall, quickened release, arm strength across the diamond clocked up to 76 mph. Very good student.
