Orange vs. Navy Highlights

10/30/2022

Oliver Martin (2027, El Paso, Tex.) has great feel for the game on both sides. Playing in the field he's got good instincts. At the plate he's balanced and uses the whole field. Short, compact swing finds barrels. Nice impact off the bat with more maturity strength gains in store.

Dylan Keith (2027, Mesa, Ariz.) had the best weekend of the bunch at the plate. Doubled off the wall and followed it up with another screamer over the head of the left fielder. Solid power potential. Covers the plate with a loose stroke and has good size. Solid defender playing multiple positions.

Rio Ryu (2027, Phoenix, Ariz.) solid two-way potential stood out on Day 2. Has great arm talent and a sound all-fields approach. Works the barrel well with feel at the plate.

Easton Forbrook (2027, Wickenburg, Ariz.) has a smooth lefty swing that covers the whole plate. Size projects and picks pitches with ease. Gets on his front side well with quick hips and made plenty of contact today.

Every Quijada Ceballos (2026, Phoenix, Ariz.) had a real strong performance with loud barrels at the plate. Power stroke with quick hands that has jump off the barrel. Easy strength at impact that projects and also stood out on the bump with a heavier fastball and two breakers.

Easton Forbrook (27, AZ) A smooth swinging lefty let the ball get deep in the zone to barrel it up for the first hit of the night.  Free and loose swing.  Good size with power potential.

Elias Ward (27, NV) with a short, compact, direct to the ball swing, creates excellent extension to drive the baseball.  Followed his loud BP with a good in game AB.

Ervey Quijada Ceballos (26, AZ) Great top hand, opened up his hips to lace a line drive to left.  Big for his age with power potential.

Damian Valdez (26, AZ) Loose, athletic swing.  Opened up his hips and drove the ball pull side for a loud out.  Good bat speed and looked very comfortable in the box.  Able to cover the whole plate.

Rio Ryu (27, AZ) Full extension on his swing allows him to provide loud contact.  He barreled up his first AB, shooting his hips and lining the ball pull side.

Lincoln Demmons (27, AZ) Lets the ball get dip in the zone.  Excellent pitch awareness.  Balanced through the zone.  Shot a hard hit ball right back up the middle with impressive velocity.  Excellent plate awareness for someone his age.

Dylan Keith (27, AZ) Long and lanky at 6’1 he generates excellent bat speed.  He covers the whole plate with power to both sides of the field.  He barrels up a ball for a  double to the wall in the top of the 5th.

George Mills (unknown) He has a smooth effortless swing going pull side in his first at bat and driving an opposite field single in his second.  Excellent bat control.
