Grady Openden is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 5-9 126 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Undecided. Compact frame with future strength gains in store as he matures. Ran a 7.77 in the 60-yard dash. Right-handed pitcher, hands start below belt with a high leg kick into a higher three-quarter release and medium stride down the mound. Shows a quicker arm for age with loose, short arm circle thorugh back. Fastball reached low-70s, commanded nicely with feel for a late 11-5 breaking ball. Pitched backwards and showed feel for both, good mover. Also showed strong arm and confident actions in outfield drills. Cleaner finish at release point from longer slot. Right-handed hitter, upright and even base with high back elbow. Shows feel for the barrel and hands match plane well with subtle pull-side strength and intent. Named to Top Prospect list.
