4-Red vs 5-White Game Highlights

3/6/2022

Dax Bush (2023 RHP, Morristown, NJ) started the game with a bang on the bump, pumping 84 mph early while controlling the mechanics well and pounding the corners for strikes out of a high 3/4 slot. The projectable 6’0” 165 lb righty worked downhill effectively with plus off speed including a tight slider located down in the zone.

CJ Tedesco (2026 2B, Montville, NJ) kept the weight back well on a curveball during his second AB, roping a ball with carry into left field. Though young with plenty of time to still develop and fill out the 5’9” 145 lb frame, Tedesco has tons of discipline at the dish and bat speed that showed itself on numerous occasions throughout the day.

Joseph Fagan (2023 C, Summit, NJ) successfully saw the ball deep and drove a pitch into the opposite field gap to get himself on the stat sheet. Fagan has plenty of coordination present in the stroke with power potential continually developing in the 5’9” 170 lb frame.

William Kirk (2024 LHP, Saddle River, NJ) brought a loud OF arm to the mound where he showcased more than enough natural run on a FB up to 86 mph. After posting a 91 mph OF velo, it was no surprise that the athleticism carried over with projectability in the 6’1” 165 lb frame and two plus off speed pitches in a sharp slide piece and fading changeup. Kirk has tons of heavy swing and miss stuff that will only become increasingly more dangerous as he develops and matures.

Nicholas Columbano (2023 MIF, Commack, NY) showed off the ability to drive the ball pull side during his opportunities at the dish, keeping the hands quiet and compact to create a direct path to and through the baseball. The 5’6” 140 lb righty has sneaky juice in the barrel with strength continuing to develop.

Frank Costa (2023 OF, Mullica Hill, NJ) drilled a line drive into the left center field gap to end his day, showcasing balanced mechanics with solid lower half rotation to generate power. Costa works out of a physical athletic 6’3” 200 lb build, flashing a level bat path and lots of hand speed to pair.
