Frank Knowles (2029 OF, Johns Creek, GA) found himself a double that got caught in the jetstream moving out to RCF in the middle innings of this one. Simple, controlled operation in the box without unnecessary movements in the swing. Also got on the mound and flashed a fastball only diet, running it up to 80-mph with two strikeouts in his one inning of work. Quick shoulder, athletic.
Grayson Ikard (2029 SS, Winchester, TN) turned around on one and laced it into the right-center gap, wheeling around for a triple. Compact left-handed swing, got on time and on plane with this fastball and did some damage. Swing projects with additional strength moving forward.
Bryson Turner (2030 SS, Mantachie, MS) golfed one down below the knees over the 6 hole's head for a single. Solid barrel control, stayed on this one and got the barrel to it nicely with a strong finish through contact.
Daniel Brett (2028 3B, Lawrenceville, GA) picked up two hits in this contest, one being an infield single that he hustled out and the other a low liner back up the box into center for another single. One of the most physical builds at the event with present strength, corner projection with power to come. Worked one inning on the mound too, clean frame with the fastball reaching 73-mph.
Elliott Hamby (2029 SS, Cumming, GA) got the hands upstairs and delivered the barrel to fastball above the letters, dropping it into right field for a single.
Evan Boatwright (2030 3B, Belmont, NC) stayed behind a fastball and shot it the other way for a knock. Good piece of hitting letting it travel and going with it.
Drew Beerman (2030 OF, Chapin, SC) collected one of the harder barrels of the day, working the left-center gap for a long triple. Creates separation in the swing with a deeper hand load, engages the lower half well to torque the hips and creates impact for size.
Reed McLaughlin (2030 3B, Germantown, TN) roped a fastball over the 6 hole for a nice linedrive single. Simplistic swing with solid overall mechanis for the age, hit extremely well on the circuit last year and is continuing that trend here early on in the new year. Also got on the mound and worked 1.2 frames, getting his fastball to 68-mph and struck out three batters.
Michael Scheetz (2029 C, Canton, GA) worked two clean frames on the mound, striking out two in the process. He would work his fastball up to 64-mph and keep hitters off balance with a curveball.
Alvin Thomas III (2029 1B, Canton, MS) closed the game out in relief, running his fastball up to 73-mph and striking out a batter.
