Draft Night: Final Mock Draft

2025 MLB Draft Draft Board: Top 500 | College Report Database

2025 MLB Draft Reports: 1-20 | 21-40 | 41-60 | 61-80 | 81-100

1. Washington Nationals: Eli Willits, SS, Fort Cobb HS (Okla.)

The heavy favorite here is Kade Anderson with Ethan Holliday’s chances at 1 dwindling. Willits is the very buzzy name in the lead up to the draft and he would be very underslot here.

2. Los Angeles Angels: Kade Anderson, LHP, LSU

Anderson is the favorite to go first and in that scenario the Angels go with either Liam Doyle or Ike Irish, both likely for a haircut. If Anderson is available, we’re told he’s the pick.

3. Seattle Mariners: Seth Hernandez, RHP, Corona HS (Calif.)

The Mariners have been tied to Hernandez for months now. Other options include the trio of college lefties; the Mariners are looking at arms and could go heavy underslot for a Witherspoon or Bremner too.

4. Colorado Rockies: Ethan Holliday, SS, Stillwater HS (Okla.)

The Holliday-Rockies rumors have been going for months and, frankly, this feels like the safest pick at the top. Any of the other top echelon of prospects are in play too but Holliday won’t get past Colorado.

5. St. Louis Cardinals: Ike Irish, C/OF, Auburn

Irish has been rumored as high as 2 or 3 and has spots all over the top 5 if teams want to sign him for underslot. If that doesn’t happen he likely goes somewhere in the 8-12 range. The Cardinals like Willits too and if he’s on the board he’s an option.

6. Pittsburgh Pirates: Aiva Arquette, SS, Oregon State

Arquette has spots all over the top ten and even has a small chance to go one. The college lefties are an option here and they like the high school shortstops; this could be Willits’ floor.

7. Miami Marlins: Gavin Fien, OF, Great Oak HS (Calif.)

The Marlins have been tied heavily to the high school bats and Fien’s summer performance was better than no others. Jojo Parker and Billy Carlson are also options.

8. Toronto Blue Jays: Jamie Arnold, LHP, Florida State

This feels like Arnold’s floor while Billy Carlson could also be heavily in favor to be selected here. Arquette is also a strong option if he’s available as is Liam Doyle

9. Cincinnati Reds: Liam Doyle, LHP, Tennessee

Doyle’s ceiling is at pick 2 with the Angels and if that doesn’t materialize he likely falls somewhere around here. If the Reds don’t go Doyle they’ll likely stick college with Kyson Witherspoon and Ike Irish being options if the college lefties are gone.

10. Chicago White Sox: Joseph Parker, SS, Purvis HS (Miss.)

The White Sox have been tied to high school shortstops, with Parker and Carlson being the two favorites. Any of the top guys that fall out of the top nine are also options as is Fien.

11. Athletics: Kyson Witherspoon, RHP, Oklahoma

Witherspoon is probably the last of the tier 1 guys but has spots all over the top 10, likely starting at 3. Oakland has also been tied to the other top tier college guys and would snatch anyone who falls.

12. Texas Rangers: Billy Carlson, SS, Corona HS (Calif.)

Carlson has fits all over the top ten and would fit the Rangers idealogy to a tee. Steele Hall rumors have also been heavy here but Texas is sure to target an athlete.

13. San Francisco Giants: Tyler Bremner, RHP, UC Santa Barbara

College arms are going to go quick and often, Bremner has suitors in the top 5 for heavy underslot. College bats have been mentioned here and this is probably Irish’s floor.

14. Tampa Bay Rays: Marek Houston, SS, Wake Forest

Houston is viewed as a safe option here with Tampa being tied to high school bats too like Steele Hall and Daniel Pierce. We have Tampa with Jaden Fauske at their second pick but he might not make it there.

15. Boston Red Sox: Steele Hall, SS, Hewitt-Trussville HS (Ala.)

Hall’s stock is a bit all over, he has plenty of suitors starting in the top ten. Boston is shooting high school here with heavy ties to both Gavin Fien and Kayson Cunningham.

16. Minnesota Twins: Wehiwa Aloy, SS, Arkansas

Minnesota has been tied to college names and Aloy is a fit here. Left-handed bats and arms also come up in discussions.

17. Chicago Cubs: Gavin Kilen, 2B, Tennessee

College bats have been tied to the Cubs but Kilen also has underslot offers higher than this. Some high school power hitters like Neyens and Hammond have also been mentioned here.

18. Arizona Diamondbacks: Kayson Cunningham, SS, Johnson HS (Tex.)

The Diamondbacks have several options with their picks but high school names have been tied to them with their first. Cunningham, Hall, Pierce, and Hammond are all options but they could get creative with their number of picks.

19. Baltimore Orioles: Jace LaViolette, OF, Texas A&M

This is mostly a fit pick here as the Orioles typically like left-handed bats with good exit velocity numbers. LaViolette’s stock is all over the map and he’s likely to fit in the back half of the first somewhere.

20. Milwaukee Brewers: Caden Bodine, C, Coastal Carolina

Bodine has suitors through the back half of the first and the Brewers have picks to play with. Arms like Quick and Forbes come up as do left-handed hitters like LaViolette and Summerhill.

21. Houston Astros: Brendan Summerhill, OF, Arizona

The Astros always play things close to the chest and Summerhill is a fit here. Bodine’s name comes up in discussions as does prep shortstop Tate Southisene.

22. Atlanta Braves: Gage Wood, RHP, Arkansas

It’s hard to say where Wood fits in the grouping of college arms but he’s definitely in play. Tyler Bremner falling here would be the dream scenario.

23. Kansas City Royals: Josh Hammond, SS, Wesleyan Christian Academy (N.C.)

The Royals have been tied heavily to high schoolers here. Aaron Watson and Kruz Schoolcraft are mentioned as the arms with Pierce, Cunningham, and Dax Kilby also getting mentioned.

24. Detroit Tigers: Daniel Pierce, SS, Mill Creek HS (Ga.)

The Tigers are considering prep bats like Pierce, Hammond, and there’s real steam around Coy James as he goes to them with their second pick.

25. San Diego Padres: Sean Gamble, 2B/OF, IMG Academy (Fla.)

Gamble is one of many high schoolers considered, they also have been tied to Kruz Schoolcraft, Quentin Young, and other west coast bats. They typically lean high school and could also take a high school shortstop who falls.

26. Philadelphia Phillies: Kruz Schoolcraft, LHP, Sunset HS (Ore.)

The Phillies have been mentioned with high school bats, some like Hammond and de Brun but Schoolcraft also makes sense. His market starts right around the back of the first.

27. Cleveland Guardians: Ethan Conrad, OF, Wake Forest

Conrad has several suitors starting in the 20s. He gets mentioned along other high school bats and we know Cleveland has a particular model that favors high schoolers too.

28. Kansas City Royals: Aaron Watson, RHP, Trinity Christian Academy (Fla.)

29. Arizona Diamondbacks: Xavier Neyens, 3B, Mount Vernon HS (Wash.)

30. Baltimore Orioles: Devin Taylor, OF, Indiana

31. Baltimore Orioles: Luke Stevenson, C, North Carolina

32. Milwaukee Brewers: Andrew Fischer. 1B, Tennessee

33. Boston Red Sox: Slater de Brun, OF, Summit HS (Ore.)

34. Detroit Tigers: Coy James, SS, Advance HS (N.C.)

35. Seattle Mariners: Anthony Eyanson, RHP, LSU

36. Minnesota Twins: Cam Cannarella, OF, Clemson

37. Tampa Bay Rays: Jaden Fauske, OF, Nazareth Academy (Ill.)

38. New York Mets: Dean Moss, OF, IMG Academy (Fla.)

39. New York Yankees: Riley Quick, RHP, Alabama

40. Los Angeles Dodgers: Quentin Young, SS/OF, Oaks Christian HS (Calif.)

41. Los Angeles Dodgers: Dax Kilby, SS, Newnan HS (Ga.)

42. Tampa Bay Rays: Tate Southisene, SS, Basic HS (Nev.)

43. Miami Marlins: Patrick Forbes, RHP, Louisville

Top 100 Collegiate Freshmen

Vincent Cervino
Article Image
As we creep toward opening day here in a month or so, the draft team has put together the Top 100 freshmen on campus this spring.  Three high-end arms lead the way, starting with Jack Bauer. The Mississippi State left-hander reached triple digits as a prep and is sure to make an immediate impact this spring. UCLA right-hander Angel Cervantes was selected in the 2nd round of last year’s draft but held firm on his commitment and should be an impact arm for the Bruins. Following the arms, a collection of bats rounds out the Top 10. There is loads of upside to the group with the potential and they should draw considerable playing time as freshman.  As the list gets deeper, there are plenty of players that should pop up and make significant contributions both this year and years down the line. The class has both depth and talent, making for a very intriguing group of...

Monday Morning SoCal Notebook

Three hitters and three pitchers that really impressed or improved their stock at the Area Code Select at Dodger Stadium.  Gotta start with James Clark as he stole the show offensively, and right out of the gate, with a pull side home run as just the second hitter of the game.  Added a triple to the pull side again, again on the barrel.  Added a single up the middle.  Really showed exceptional feel for the barrel.  Flew out to center field on two occasions, both barreled up pretty well, with one getting lost in the sun.  I’m old and salty, so didn’t give him the double for the cycle, but he was the most impressive bat (easily) on the day.   One of the other position players that impressed, I’ve been somewhat critical of, have spoken with his travel coach a little bit about him behind the plate, but Vista Murrieta catcher Taytum...

Preseason HS Top 50

Tyler Russo
Article Image
The start of another high school season is right around the corner in a handful of states and with that, as always, comes our Preseason High School Top-50. A whopping twenty states are represented in the initial Top-50, a number that is staggering when you look at the amount of depth some of these rosters have across the nation. Leading the group is St. John Bosco (CA), a team that brought home a CIF Southern D1 title in 2025 and bring back a strong group of seniors to look to repeat. Stoneman Douglas (FL) is a name most people should know by now in the high school ranks and comes in as our preseason #2 team, looking to win their sixth straight state championship in Florida. Orange Lutheran (CA) had a good case for preseason #1 but come it an No. 3, bringing a roster with seven seniors ranked inside the top-200 in the country to the table. Four other Florida schools are represented...
