Gavin Hasche (2023, Parker, Colo.) took the mound for the early morning start for the Slammers Duman and he took things in hand right away. He is lean and super athletic on the mound and at 6-foot-1, 150 pounds, there is still a lot of development ahead. He repeats his delivery with excellent consistency, works in line down the mound and loads his hand late but turns it over quickly and gets to release point. His fastball held at 86-88 deep into his outing and it has life, but he also located it very well. He mixed a slider and changeup, both in the mid-70s, and they are quality offerings. There was a calm competitiveness about him, and he controlled the tone of the game beginning to end. The Boston College commit went 5 innings, allowing 1 hit, no runs, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts.
