2019 Top Prospects

Luis Ramirez  RHP - 2019 - Commerce, CA
Long Beach State

Ramierz has serious two-way potential on the mound and infield. On the mound, the 2019 grad sat 90-92 miles per hour creating steep, heavy downhill tilt to the bottom of the strike zone. Offensively, Ramierz has the present strength and natural leverage to drive the baseball through the gaps with ease.

Hunter Cranton  RHP - 2019 - Newport Beach, CA
San Diego State

Cranton created very good jump through the zone with a fastball that topped at 89 miles per hour. The 6-foot-3 right handed pitcher showed the feel to locate to each quadrant of the strike zone before changing speed with a very sharp 12/6 breaking ball.

Brant Voth  C - 2019 - Simi Valley, CA
Indiana

A primary catcher, but showed the athleticism to play all over the field. Posted an event best 1.85 pop time while topping at 91 miles per hour from the outfield and 87 miles per hour on the mound. Showed good feel at the plate for each side of the plate with the ability to work to all fields. Impressed throughout the weekend and has good upside as a position or pitching prospect.

Damone Hale  OF - 2019 - Inglewood, CA
Cal State Fullerton/Yavapai College

The 2019 shortstop showed very athletic actions throughout the weekend. Posted a 6.79 sixty-yard dash. Utilized speed well in the infield showing good range to each side with fluid actions through the baseball. Offensively, Hale utilized a smooth, confident swing plane that produced hard contact to all fields on a line.

Spencer Bullock  RHP - 2019 - Ventura, CA

The Ventura, CA native looked to attack the strike zone with a fastball that created solid running action to arm side at 83 miles per hour. Bullocks has present feel for his breaking ball and consistently induced weak contact while locating to the bottom of the strike zone.

Michael Carrol  C - 2019 - Apple Valley, CA
Uncommitted

Carrol released the baseball very quickly while throwing from behind the plate creating on line carry to the bag. Offensively, the 2019 grad showed very good jump off the barrel while utilizing a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. The Apple Valley native clears his hips with authority generating solid torque to contact.


2020 Top Prospects

Isaac Ayon  RHP - 2020 - Fresno, CA
Oregon

Ayon utilized a clean, balanced delivery while releasing from a high three-quarters arm slot. The St. Mary's commit generating heavy downhill plane through the zone with run to arm side in the mid to upper 80's, topped at 88 miles per hour. Consistently located slider offering to the bottom of the zone generating late tilt to glove side.

Jadon Bercovich  RHP - 2020 - Reno, NV
San Diego State

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound right handed pitcher showed good poise and presence while on the mound. The Reno, NV native generated very good life from a high three-quarters arm slot topping at 87 miles per hour. Flashed feel for multiple off speed pitches but showed swing and miss potential with a 9/4 slider that had late, hard tilt in the low 70's.

Danny Yanez  OF - 2020 - Spring Valley, CA
San Diego State

The 6-foot-3, 193-pound 2020 grad flashed very good strength in his swing on a loose, uphill path to finish. Swung with intent and looked to drive the baseball with authority to the middle of the field. Created loud, explosive contact off the barrel when squared.

Jacob Weiss  C - 2020 - Atwater, CA
Pacific

Weiss utilized a smooth, balanced swing path while at the plate and consistently drove the baseball on a line to the middle of the field throughout the weekend. Also impressed while on the mound showing a clean arm action from a loose three-quarters slot that produced good downhill tilt to the bottom of the strike zone.

Gerardo Vargas  RHP - 2020 - Castro Valley, CA

The 2020 grad utilized a simple rock step delivery and hid baseball well at take back. Fastball came out of hand cleanly from a compact three-quarters slot creating running action to arm side at 82 miles per hour. Flashed a sharp 12/6 breaking ball when staying on top of offering and maintaining arm speed through extension.

Dylan Lopez  RHP - 2020 - Oxnard, CA

The Oxnard native showed a lean, athletic frame that will continue to add strength. On the mound, the 5-foot-11 right handed pitcher consistently worked ahead of hitters early in counts utilizing a fastball that had natural cut to glove side topping at 83 miles per hour. Changed speeds with a tight 11/5 curveball that had late, hard depth to the bottom of the zone.

Austin Schroeder  RHP - 2020 - La Jolla, CA
Gonzaga

The 2020 right handed pitcher showed good feel for his fastball offering consistently spotting offering to each edge of the plate. Flashed a sharp 11/5 breaking ball that showed good swing and miss potential as well.

Nathan Chong  C - 2020 - Fullerton, CA
St. Mary's

Chong utilized a mid field to pull side approach showing present bat speed and strength at contact. Consistently repeated a smooth, slightly lifted barrel plane that generated tight backspin with good carry to the gaps when squared.

Caden Aoki  SS - 2021 - Huntington Beach, CA
Notre Dame

Aoki showed mature, athletic actions throughout that play well past his present age. Showed clean, fluid glove skills with the ability to throw with accuracy while on the run from the infield. At the plate, the Huntington Beach, CA native utilized a clean barrel plane that generated sharp line drive contact to all fields. Also impressed on the mound topping at 81 miles per hour from a high three-quarters arm slot. Maintained arm speed very well through extension with a curveball offering that had hard 12/6 shape with solid depth.
