Dylan Lopez is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Oxnard, CA who attends St. Bonaventure. Medium frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a balanced, on line delivery. Stays balanced at gather and utilized lower half well working to the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Showed some arm speed with a fastball offering that created slight cutting action in the low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Maintained arm speed with a curveball offering that had 11/5 shape with good spin and sharp bite in the low 70's. Also flashed a changeup offering that featured fade to arm side in the low 70's as well. Consistently worked to the bottom of the zone with good feel to each edge of the plate. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing. Developing fluidity while funneling and working through exchange. Released from a loose three-quarters slot topping at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Simple, direct hand path. Line drive barrel plane through extension. Created some lift with leverage when connecting with baseball out front. Employed a gap to gap approach with occasional strength at contact when squared. Very good student. Named to the 2017 California Underclass Showcase, Top Prospect List.
