Michael Carrol is a 2019 C/3B with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Apple Valley, CA who attends Victor Valley. Compact and stocky frame. Ran a 7.71 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up in a higher crouched set with a side saddle start, carries some weight into his release staying online to his target, clean transfer, stays under control with actions, some arm strength present, 1.95 second best pop time. Righthanded hitter, sets up with a narrow based stance, compact stroke working downhill to the baseball, inside hand path taken to the ball, mostly line drive swing plane with an approach to work line drives to the middle of the field, could use minor adjustments to lower half in swing but all around solid round. Good student.
