Antonio D’Amore (2025 LHP, Melissa, TX) showed quickness to his hands from the left side, repeating well from swing to swing with strength in his hands and extension out front.
Josiah Bargas (2024 SS, Spring, TX) put the quickness to his hands on display as well on his round, working to the middle and pull side parts of the field with a linear stroke, repeating well with occasional carry to his pull side.
Omar Serna (2025 C, Pearland, TX) is a strong, physical presence in the box and he used his strength well to generate whip to the barrel with some separation out front, creating nice jump off of the barrel to his pull side.
Tajhai Smith (2025 OF, Sulphur, LA) begins with a spread stance and did a nice job of staying short to the ball, repeating his swing with a feel for the barrel while creating extension out front with some torque to his swing.
Kayson Cunningham (2025 SS, San Antonio, TX) had a nice showing on day one in all phases of his game, including in the left-handed batter’s box. There’s plenty of bat speed in his swing and showed looseness to his hands, spraying solid contact around to all parts of the field.
Jack Casteel (2025 1B, Austin, TX) connected for the lone home run of the day in his round, turning on a ball that sailed over the right field fence. He shows strength and looks to lift at the point of contact with some carry off the bat.
Masa Chilcutt (2025 C, San Antonio, TX) showed off a loose and fluid right-handed swing, staying balanced with some natural lift to his path, generating some jump off of the barrel when squared.
Dane Perry (2025 RHP, Friendswood, TX) may be listed as a primary right-handed pitcher but he did a nice job of creating lift to his path and showed some strength off the barrel, an element of his game he’ll be able to unlock more of with added lower half.
Ty Hawkins (2025 OF, San Antonio, TX) ran one of the two sub-7 60-yard dashes and he showed things to like offensively as well. He stays short to the ball and has strength in his hands, showing jump and carry coming off the bat when squared.
Erik Herrera (2025 3B, Pharr, TX) got closed moving into contact and worked on a mostly linear plane, showing some strength to the middle and pull side parts of the field with carry coming off when squared.
Presley Courville (2025 C, Lake Charles, LA) has a projectable frame as he continues to fill out, already showing some ability to back spin the ball to his pull side while working on a line drive path through the zone.
James “Will” McKinzie (2025 SS, New Waverly, TX) showed quickness to his hands and a shorter stroke overall while utilizing a simple shift into contact. He handles the barrel, creating line drive contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field.
