Korbin Winter (2029 1B, Lena, IL) showed a ton of upside on the mound. The right-handed pitcher ran the fastball (2115 RPM) up to 80 and was low-to-upper-70s throughout and had some cut action to it. Slider (2212 RPM) was in the low-to-mid-60s with some horizontal bite and some tightness to the spin. Showed the two-way upside clubbing a double down the left field line. 

Cruz Jimenez (2029 RHP, Elizabeth, IL) kept the hands tight and showed some strength at contact to send one into left-center field for a double. The right-handed hitter has quick hands with a flat bat plane and a short hand path. 

Jaxson Vosejpka (2029 1B, Montgomery, MN) showed off the strength at contact collecting a loud barrel to backside center field for an RBI knock. The left-handed has a physical frame and good power upside as the frame fills out. 

Cole Pearson (2029 C, Elkhorn, NE) showed some feel for the barrel during games adding two hits, including a double. The right-handed hitter showed a short hand path with a flat bat plane. Some strength at contact when he worked the pull-side. 

Owen Drahos (2029 OF, Blairstown, IA) showed the upside on the mound working the fastball up to 79. The right-handed pitcher also mixed in a vertical dropping curveball and a slider that had two-plane break. Showed some deception in the delivery and a feel to get swing and miss. 

Andre Purpura (2029 RHP, Marion, IA) cruised through his outing on the mound running the fastball up to 81 and showed some arm-side run on it. Paired it with a slider with 10-4 shape and some tightness to the spin and a change-up with good fading action. Also showed the two-way upside adding a barrel to left field. 

Colton Carson (2029 1B, Herscher, IL) showed off the power in the frame adding a double and a triple during game action. The right-handed hitter turns with intent and has a quick barrel with strength in the hands. 

Dylan Mateja (2029 LHP, Northbrook, IL) got ahold of one and drove it to center field for a triple. The right-handed hitter uses a flatter bat plane and showed some feel to create backspin on the ball at contact. 

Jaxson Cemer (2029 C, Elkhorn, NE) showed a ton of upside on the mound running the fastball up to 82 with good arm-side run. The right-handed pitcher paired it with a curveball that had late depth and some tilt. Projectable frame on the mound with athletic lower half movements. Also added a solid knock back up the middle. 

Hunter Daniel (2029 RHP, Ankeny, IA) came up clutch adding a two RBI single to left-center field. The right-handed hitter showed some feel to impact back up-the-middle with a flatter bat plane. 

Saturday Game Highlights

Frankie Pagano (2029 LHP, Waukee, IA) turned in three strong innings on the mound in game one, collecting three strikeouts while filling up the zone at a 77% clip. The 5-foot-11 left-hander worked his fastball on both sides of the plate, running it up to 80 mph early on. He also showcased impressive feel for locating his two-plane slider which he spun up to 2500 rpm.

Patrick Patrello (2028 OF, Madison, WI) collected four strikeouts through two quick innings of work, moving his fastball effectively in all four quadrants of the strike zone. The 6-foot-1 right-hander also proved successful at mistiming hitters with his depthy 11-5 curveball which showed up later on in counts.

Jaxson Cemer (2029 C, Elkhorn, NE) got ahold of a fastball, carrying it deep into the left-center gap for a triple. The 5-foot-11 right-handed batter creates good depth to the barrel with effortless leverage at the point of contact. He showcased impressive bat-to-ball skills and budding power tool to all fields.

Justin Keating (2030 C, Eldridge, IA) found a barrel early on in game two, carrying a fastball into the pull-side gap for a 2-RBI double. The 5-foot-10 righty hitter delivers the barrel on-plane and on-time, frequently generating backspin at the point of contact.

Logan Laws-Lynch (2028 C, Sussex, WI) turned on a fastball for his second hit of the game, lacing it down the left field line for a double. The 5-foot-10 righty hitter kept his hands inside the baseball, allowing the barrel to get extended through the zone and work the pull-side. Laws-Lynch also was productive on the mound, tossing two efficient innings out of the ‘pen with three strikeouts.

Lucas Crawford (2029 2B, Marion, IA) made quick work on the mound out of the bullpen, collecting four strikeouts through two innings of work. The 5-foot-8 right-hander worked all four quadrants of the strike zone with his mid-70s fastball and complemented it with a 12-6 curveball.

Austin Spratt (2029 OF, Cedar Rapids, IA) had a pair of knocks in game two, showcasing his bat-to-ball skills to all parts of the field. The 5-foot-8 righty hitter showcased an impressive feel for controlling the barrel throughout the strike zone.

Korbin Winter (2029 1B, Lena, IL) put a good swing on a fastball, carrying it deep into the right-center gap for an RBI double. The physical 6-foot-3 right-handed batter has tons of evident strength in the hands and barrel with easy power from gap to gap.

Maxwelton Steinhauer (2028 1B, Verona, WI) found perhaps the loudest barrel of the day, launching a fastball into the pull-side gap for a two-run double. The 6-foot-2 230-pound righty generates effortless strength at impact with plenty of bat speed through the zone.

Cameron Heinz (2029 1B, Geneva, IL) barreled up a fastball in game three, driving it into the left-center gap for a double. The 5-foot-10 righty gets his front foot down on-time and controls the barrel well in and around the strike zone.

Keegan Edgren (2029 1B, Eldridge, IA) tossed two hitless innings out of the bullpen, filling up all parts of the strike zone with his low-70s fastball. The 5-foot-7 right-hander went right after hitters while showing feel for spinning his 11-5 curveball.

Batting Practice Highlights

Frankie Pagano (2029 LHP, Waukee, IA) put together.a good round of BP, showing off his strength to the pull-side. The 5-foot-11 lefty hitter generates easy bat speed through the zone, often impacting the baseball out front.

Cole Pearson (2029 C, Elkhorn, NE) was consistently on the barrel during his round, producing solid contact to the middle of the field. The 5-foot-10 right-hander batter delivers the barrel on-time and on-plane.

Logan Laws-Lynch (2028 C, Sussex, WI) turned in a consistent round of BP, showcasing the ability to work all parts of the field. The 5-foot-10 righty creates good depth and whip to the barrel, oftentimes staying through the middle of the field.

Korbin Winter (2029 1B, Lena, IL) showed off his strength at the plate, impacting the baseball well to all fields. The 6-foot-3 210-pound righty has plenty of strength in the hands and barrel with feel for creating leverage at impact.

Maxwelton Steinhauer (2028 1B, Verona, WI) showcased a strong barrel with impressive bat-to-ball skills. The 6-foot-2 230-pound righty impacts the baseball with easy strength from gap to gap, creating carry and backspin at the point of contact.

Jon Doogs (2029 C, Oswego, IL) was on the barrel often during his round of BP, showing love to all parts of the diamond. The righty hitter showed impressive feel for adjusting the barrel around the strike zone while maintaining strength through impact.

Keegan Edgren (2029 1B, Eldridge, IA) showed off a consistent barrel with evident strength in the hands. The right-handed batter takes a short and level path to the baseball, controlling it well throughout the zone while showcasing the ability to work all fields.
