Works from a standard delivery with a compact arm action and 3/4's arm slot, has some arm speed and gets out front well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, was mostly straight but thrown for strikes consistently. Slider was a good pitch with good power and some two-plane depth. Also showed a change up with good fading life in the low 70's. Secondary corner infielder on defense, works from the ground up well, still developing his footwork and lower half looseness, makes the routine plays, shorter arm stroke, glove is his best defensive tool. Right handed hitter, sets up in a tall and narrow stance with a short shift into contact, stays balanced and directional well with a slight uphill path into contact, has some young strength in his swing and lifted some balls well to the pull side, showed barrel feel and some ability to impact the ball. 5.32 runner in the forty. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
