Lucas Crawford is a 2029 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Marion, IA who attends Linn-Mar. Slender young athletic build with lots of growing ahead of him. 7.58 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick actions and good athleticism, clean gather and transfer, moves well to his left, throws from multiple arm angles, has all the actions to continue to develop. Also worked out in the outfield with similar athleticism and arm strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight and balanced stance with a simple hand load, gets some coil over his back hip, line drive swing plane, levers well off his front side, ball comes off the barrel well to the pull side. Took a turn on the mound, throws from a mid 3/4's arm slot with a loose arm. Fastball was in the mid-70's and topped out at 77 mph with good running action at times. Threw his slider at any point in the count with good feel for the zone. Good student
