Brett Hammit (2018- Nixa, MO) had an impressive day at the plate with 2 doubles and a no doubt home run

Gavin Baird (2019- Angleton, TX) displayed good bat speed driving a ball to left center field for a double.

Travis Walters (2017 Mansfield, TX) turned quickly on an inside pitch for a double down the line.

Cayde Ward (2017 Fort Worth, TX) smoked a double in the gap and showed great instincts on the bases.

Brandon Kilgore (2017- Rockwell, TX) collected 3 hits on the day, all of which were hit hard.

Zachary Lester (2018- McGregor, TX) had 2 hits including turning on an inside pith down the line.

Kyle Rich (Keller, TX) pounded the zone all day sitting 81-84 MPH with 7 K’s over 4 innings of work.

NIco Ramos (2017- Houston, TX) struck out 7 batters in 2 innings of relief.

Jared Southard (2019- Leander, TX) had a solid day at both the plate and the mound with 2 base hits and topping out at 81 MPH.

Kole Ramage (2017- Southlake, TX) was good for two hits including a double down the line to end the game.  

Troy Davern (2016 RHP, Richardson, TX) did a nice job of keeping his hands inside the baseball while exhibiting a nice feel for the barrel. He projects well physically but already shows strength off the barrel with interesting life coming off when squared.

Tyler Torres (2016 3B, Killeen, TX) has a strongly built 6-foot-1, 188-pound frame and does a nice job of staying short to the ball with a quick and easy swing. He uses his strength well and showed nice carry off the barrel on a ball that got over the fence to his pull side.

Ian Bailey (2016 OF, San Antonio, TX) led the group of day one hitters with two home runs and did it while staying short to the ball with his swing. Repeating it well, Bailey showed his best strength to his pull side though he did create consistent contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field.

Grant Gilmore (2016 1B, Austin, TX) is another strongly built 6-foot-6, 250-pound right-handed hitter who showed off interesting strength last night. Generating loft at contact, Gilmore hit a long home run to his pull side and showing solid jump off the barrel when he squared it up.

Koby Hott (2016 OF, Wichita Falls, TX) has some of the best bat speed of the opening round and did so while staying short to the ball. With a steady and impressive round, Hott stayed balanced through his swing and shows nice jump off the barrel from gap-to-gap. 

Jake Karst (2016 C, Wichita, KS) generated consistent line drive contact to his pull side showing quick hands with a repeatable swing. A 6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting catcher, Kerst also showed strength off the barrel to his pull side.

Logan Berlof (2016 2B, McKinney, TX) put together a nice round showing a smooth line drive plane with strong contact coming off the barrel. Using a small glide step into contact Berlof was able to create some separation and showed his strength on balls hit into left field.

Trey Roach (2016 C, Argyle, TX) starts with a lower hand set in his swing but is able to already drive the ball on a regular basis with some leverage at contact with more strength on its way.

Ezekiel Bear (2016 3B, Cypress, TX) is listed at 6-foot-3, 200-pound and the left-handed hitter put together an impressive round of batting practice. Showing easy jump to his pull side, Bear remained under control through his swing with nice life off the barrel and a short path to the ball. 

Connor Ryan (2016 OF, Irving, TX) remained short to the ball in his swing and repeated it well, which allowed for consistent line drive contact to the middle and pull side parts of the field. Showing a solid feel for the barrel, Ryan does a nice job of getting closed at contact and staying through the ball.

Drew Medford (2016 RHP, Fort Worth, TX) showed a short and consistent line drive swing and as a result was able to show off his strength to his pull side while displaying a steady feel for the head of the barrel.

Quinn Waterbury (2016 1B, Prosper, TX) has a strong 6-foot-4, 200-pound and knows how to use his strength well in his right-handed swing. Showing a quick barrel Waterbury has a nice feel for the barrel and generates very interesting bat speed, whipping the barrel through the zone.

Anthony Bernardez (2016 RHP, Prosper, TX) also has a shorter path to the ball and shows quickness in his barrel coming through the zone. With present strength on his 6-foot-1 frame, Bernardez shows a nice feel for the barrel with interesting strength coming off to the middle of the field.

Christian Kuhl (2016 C, Willis, TX) remains balanced through his swing nicely and shows a short and quick path to the ball. He shows carry off the barrel to all fields with separation in his swing and while shifting his weight through his lower half well.

Zachary Watson (2016 SS, Ruston, LA) is already committed to Louisiana State University and showed a short and under controlled swing during his batting practice round this afternoon. With a short and quick swing Watson showed quick hands with consistent contact to his pull side.

Griffin Benson (2016 1B, Benbrook, TX) is a switch hitter and used his strength to open eyes with his right-handed swing. Listed at 6-foot-5, 215-pounds Benson shows quick hands with easy strength coming off the barrel and a short path to the ball. He has fluidity in his swing and used his strength to launch a ball far over the left field fence.
