Kirk Dornak is a 2016 OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Lake Country Christian HS. Medium, athletic frame with a high waist, and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Solid runner, posted a 6.83 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, long and easy strides to the ball, full arm action through the back, longer release, gets on top of throws and shows carry and strength out of hand, accurate throws to the bag. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open, wide stance and high hand set close to body. Upper body swing with a short path to the ball, slight uphill out front at contact but generates carry off the barrel. Gets the barrel through the zone and shows comfort hitting to the middle of the fields, has the feel to hit to all fields with contact approach. Very good student.
