2028 Top Prospects

Austin Ellis  SS - 2028 - Pittsburgh, PA

Ellis is an impressive athlete with huge upside on both sides of the ball. He showed fluidity in the infield, while recording arm strength up to 80 mph across the diamond. At the plate, he used a leveraged stroke to impact the baseball well from gap-to-gap and flashed intriguing power potential as he physically matures. On the mound, he effectively used his fastball that topped out at 78 mph to generate tons of empty swings. He paired it well with an 11-5 shaped breaking ball that had depth and late bite.

Brad Bucci  SS - 2028 - Venetia, PA

Bucci was impressive in all facets of his game, as he started off things by running a 7.12 sixty and displaying arm strength up to 83 mph during outfield drills. He continued by showing athleticism in the infield, while recording accurate throws from multiple angles up to 81 mph during infield work. At the plate, he creates plenty of present bat speed with a loose, easy stroke and produced numerous line drives from gap-to-gap.

Tanner DeStefano  SS - 2028 - Irwin, PA

DeStefano used his present strength to record an event best exit velocity of 80 mph, while flashing power potential with barrel skills at the plate. In the field, he delivered accurate throws up to 75 mph across the diamond with some lateral range and clean footwork.

Eli Kurta  OF - 2028 - West Mifflin, PA

Kurta showed plenty of things to like moving forward, as he produced online, accurate throws up to 79 mph during outfield drills and impacted the baseball consistently during BP. He transitioned his swing over to game action too as he produced two hard barrels.

Yadian Oliveras  SS - 2028 - Berea, OH

Oliveras is a versatile, promising prospect with tons of physical upside and athleticism. He showed fluidity and smoothness in the infield, producing accurate throws from multiple angles during drills. In the outfield, he used his athleticism to move well from side-to-side and recorded arm strength up to 76 mph. At the plate, he generates easy bat speed and whips the barrel through the zone with authority.

Jack Sekelik  SS - 2028 - Oakdale, PA

Sekelik is a versatile defender with tons of physical upside remaining. He showed well in both the infield and the outfield, as he displayed fluidity and smoothness to his actions. At the plate, it is a low-effort left-handed stroke with line drive tendencies that project moving forward.
