Darnell W Parker Jr  SS - 2023 - Suffolk, VA
Wichita State

Parker is already known as one of the slickest defensive shortstops in the 2023 class and he's put on plenty of core strength since we've last seen him, giving him much improved raw bat speed and some serious juice in his bat. He's a Washington State commit.

Bo Ziegler  SS - 2023 - Charlotte, NC

Ziegler is a next level athlete with 6.84 speed in the sixty and the type of actions in the middle infield that will enable him to remain there. He has a nice right-handed approach at the plate and already has plenty of bat speed.

Case Western Reserve University

Stilson is a very projectable 6-3/175 infielder with solid tools and skills across the board that will keep improving as he gets more physically mature. He has a solid right-handed swing to build on and good lateral mobility for his size on defense.

2024 Top Prospects

Steele Burd  C - 2024 - Hilton Head, SC
Clemson

Burd has good present strength and solid tools across the board. He has the athleticism and arm strength to stay behind the plate defensively but what especially stood out was his right handed bat speed and how easily he got the barrel to the ball.

Dalen Boykin  RHP - 2024 - Zebulon, NC
Lenoir CC

Boykin has a strong and mature 6-0/200 build and a short and quick over the top arm stroke that produced a mid-80's fastball to lead a full four-pitch arsenal. His upper 60's curveball was his best pitch with 2400+ spin rates and sharp downer biting action.

Devon Nortier  RHP - 2024 - Huntersville, NC
Uncommitted

Nortier was the surprise of the showcase as a previously unknown prospect but one with a big right arm. He was 85-88 mph with outstanding late life at times and there is plenty more in his arm as he gets stronger. Nortier's breaking ball was a solid second pitch at 71 mph and he filled up the strike zone.

Brody Roderick  RHP - 2024 - Charlotte, NC
Southern Wesleyan University

Roderick has a slender 6-0/163 build and plenty of room to get stronger. He was up to 83 mph on his fastball but what impressed the most was his 2600+ spin rate breaking ball, which toogled between curveball and slider shape.

Payton Bryant  C - 2024 - Douglas, GA
South Carolina Aiken

Bryant is a very good athlete for a catcher and that showed with is quickness and actions behind the plate, where he also had a strong arm and made consistently accurate throws. Bryant was also up to 83 mph on the mound with very good command of his fastball.

Ryan Honeycutt  C - 2024 - Rougemont, NC

Honeycutt is a primary catcher but at 6-6/205 but where he ends up defensively is still to be determined. He showed lots of power and some barrel ability at the plate as a right handed hitter.

Benjamin O'Brien  OF - 2024 - Chapel Hill, NC
Wheaton College

O'Brien is a quick twitch athlete whose 7.06 speed played up in the games. A right handed hitter, he has quick hands at the plate with a high contact approach that should profile him as a top of the order hitter.

Thomas McNally  OF - 2024 - Charlotte, NC

McNally is a very good athlete with a projectable 6-1/170 build and 6.95 speed in the sixty. He has some present bat speed with more to come and a solid gap to gap approach.

Uncommitted

Miller has a prototype 6-3/180 pitcher's build that projects very well physically. He only worked in the upper 70's with his fastball but spotted the pitch well and the velocity played up due to his outstanding change up that he threw with plus confidence.

Campbell

Papciak has high energy actions that shout "ballplayer" loudly when he's on the field. He has nice quickness in the middle infield and plenty of arm strength and made all the plays. He barreled up the ball hard in the games and even sat 81-83 mph on the mound for two very quick innings.

Jack Dalton  RHP - 2025 - Garner, NC

Dalton is a solid two way prospect who had a nice showcase in all regards. He has advanced defensive actions on the left side of the infield with good balance on the move. He squared up the ball every at-bat with some big jump off the barrel and was also up to 83 mph on the mound.

Parker Gay  RHP - 2025 - Rocky Mount, NC
Uncommitted

Gay is a very strong 6-0/205 but he retains good quickness and athleticism on defense behind the plate and makes very accurate throws with carry. His size and strength gives him nice power potential at the plate.

Marshall Hambrick  LHP - 2025 - Raleigh, NC
Uncommitted

Hambrick has a very young 6-1/150 build that has lots of growing to do. He worked up to 80 mph from a very smooth and fluid delivery that promises plus command in the future. His best secondary pitch was a 1/7 curveball with nice shape and depth.

Jack Wuerdeman  LHP - 2025 - Denver, NC
Uncommitted

Wuerdeman had a very effective three inning appearance as the southpaw mixed three solid pitches that included a fastball up to 80 mph, a hard spinning curveball and a nice fading change up. His spin rate profile is very impressive and he's going to keep improving.
