Ayden Torres

Torres performed well across the board this past weekend. Ran a strong 6.89 60-yard dash. Showed athleticism on defense in both the OF and INF. One of the more advanced swings in the group, with real barrel feel from a smooth LH stroke that worked short and compact with some length and strength. Also jumped on the mound, running his heater into the mid-80s with quality secondary offerings.
2027 Top Prospects
Samuel Lopez
C - 2027 - Redondo Bch, CA
Uncommitted
Lopez was clearly one of the better Cs in this group. Showed solid catch/throw ability, especially with his exchange and footwork, along with flashes of quality arm strength (76/1.93). Offensively, he stood out in both BP and gameplay. Simple stroke with rhythm and a path that works quick and connected, creating lift and impact to the pull side. Produced multiple loud barrels in-game, including a no-doubt HR.
Wyatt Ford
RHP - 2027 - Bozeman, MT
Uncommitted
Ford put together a solid position player workout, showing fundamental actions in both the INF and OF. Showed some present strength and impact at the plate, but really stood out on the mound, dominating over three shutout innings. Ran his heater into the low-to-mid 80s and showed advanced feel to land and execute two different breaking balls.
Brayden Stewart
SS - 2027 - Ladera Ranch, CA

Stewart showed a solid infield skill set and put together good swings throughout the weekend. Ran a 7.01 60-yard dash. Rhythm and quickness to his feet stood out defensively as he got off accurate throws from a compact release. Showed decent bat speed and impact with an uphill swing and out-front intent, along with good barrel feel.
Damian Cordero
SS - 2027 - Redlands, CA
California Baptist
Strong overall showing for Cordero this past weekend. Looked the part on the dirt with quick, smooth footwork, sure glovework, and a strong arm (89 mph). In BP, he was consistently on the barrel with a short, compact swing that produced backspun contact through the middle of the field.
Kai Miller
OF - 2027 - Redlands, CA
California Baptist
Kai showed well in just about everything he did. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash and displayed athletic actions in the OF, paired with a quality arm (88 mph). Put together a strong BP round, showing sneaky hand speed and strength within a flatter stroke that flashed pull-side impact. Also took the mound, where he showed quality stuff with some upside spin traits.
Logan Miller
LHP - 2027 - Bakersfield, CA

Miller showed intriguing traits on the mound. Clean, repeatable mover from a traditional windup. Worked linear and online down the mound with a quick arm. Pounded the zone with a mid-80s heater and a slurvy breaker, cruising through opposing hitters.
Reese Johnson
RHP - 2027 - San Marcos, CA

Johnson showed well on the mound during gameplay, filling up the strike zone at a high rate. Displayed fundamentally sound mechanics and worked at a quick pace. Ran his heater into the low 80s with some natural run, while mixing in an effective SL and CH.
Joaquin Durazo

Durazo showed ability behind the plate, in the box, and on the mound. Strong footwork and transfers allowed him to pop sub-2.00. Showed present barrel feel at the plate with the ability to lift to the pull side. On the mound, ran his heater up to 82 while producing whiffs with an 11–5 breaker and a low-spin CH with depth.

Will put together a strong defensive and offensive workout. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash and showed athleticism in the OF with an aggressive approach, working quickly to release and getting off downhill throws with quality strength (86 mph). At the plate, showed a low-tension, simple stroke where he turned behind it well and produced a majority of LDs through the gaps.
Asher Romnek

Romnek put together a strong INF workout, showing the ability to work through the baseball with confidence and body control. Displayed sure hands and a quick, compact release. At the plate, worked on an uphill path with out-front intent, flashing some strength.
Grant Gilbert

Gilbert showcased as a two-way but stood out on the mound. Arm worked short and clean with quality arm speed. Ran his heater into the mid-80s (T85) with some ride/run, generating in-zone whiff. Mixed in a shorter SL in the mid-70s that also produced chase and swing-and-miss.
Tanner Nickols
1B - 2027 - Los Alamitos, CA

Nickols was one of the better 1Bs in the group. Showed fundamental actions around the bag with strong glovework and solid feel on DP turns, getting off the bag well. Offensively, accelerates the barrel well within a level stroke, producing quality impact when he catches it out front.
2028 Top Prospects
Owen Kemp
C - 2028 - Moorpark, CA
Uncommitted
Kemp displayed a solid skill set behind the plate. Developing quickness out of the crouch, but showed clean, online footwork and an accurate arm on throws to second. At the plate, impacted balls through the middle of the field with a short, simple stroke and got off several strong swings in-game.
Liam Quigley

Quigley put together three solid innings on the mound. Some developing aspects to the delivery, but showed decent arm speed, running his heater up to 82 mph. Mixed in quality secondaries and flashed the ability to land and execute them.

Phillips displayed solid all-around skills this past weekend. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Showed strong fundamentals in the OF from both an approach and glovework standpoint. More of a corner profile in the INF, but moved with good body control and solid arm strength. At the plate, flashed strength and quickness getting the barrel through the zone.
Maximiliano Luna
RHP - 2028 - Lawndale, CA

Luna found a way to contribute in just about everything he did. Showed fundamental actions in the OF, and at the plate demonstrated decent barrel feel with a middle approach that played in-game. Also took the mound and showed the ability to shape multiple pitches while consistently filling the strike zone.
2029 Top Prospects
Nolan Baird
1B - 2029 - Corona Del Mar, CA
Baird was an exciting follow all weekend. Strong defensive skills with serious arm talent in the OF and at 1B. Big offensive showing, displaying real strength and bat speed that translated into gameplay. Also showed notable upside on the mound, running his heater into the mid-80s (T87) with a relatively simple operation.
Amir Linton
SS - 2029 - Los Angeles, CA
Linton stood out immediately in his defensive workout, showing advanced skill with his footwork and glovework, demonstrating the ability to stick on the dirt. At the plate, it’s a developing swing but there are pieces to like—good intent with flashes of strength and bat speed, especially when he catches it out front, showing some pull-side power.
Isaac Herrera
OF - 2029 - Chino, CA
Herrera displayed solid skills as a position player in both the INF and OF, showing a clean glove and low-80s arm strength from both spots. Flashed some feel at the plate with a short-to-long swing and decent barrel control. Also showed well on the mound with simple, sound mechanics from a stretch-only operation. Ran his FB up to 81 and mixed in a bigger 12–6 breaker that generated some whiffs.
Jack Blanton
SS - 2029 - San Diego, CA
Jack showed solid skills + athleticism for a ‘29. Ran a 7.46 60-yd dash. Fundamental actions with glove and feet with an accurate arm across. Strong present offensive skillset. Good use of the lower half within a swing that works direct with good out front length that produced backspun barrels to the pull side.
Deegan Bothwell
SS - 2029 - Capistrano Beach, CA
Bothwell put together a solid performance, showing above-average skill for a ‘29. In the INF, worked low to the ground and took proper angles to the baseball. Some stiffness in the arm, but flashed arm strength (82 mph). At the plate, timing was inconsistent at times, but showed quick hands and some power when synced up.
Gavin Carcelen
SS - 2029 - Upland, CA
Gavin was one of the more obvious two-way standout ‘29s. Strong actions in both the INF and OF with a clear understanding of how to move, along with solid arm strength (85/82). Offensively, turned in a strong BP with LDs to both gaps from a simple, compact stroke. On the mound, was an aggressive strike-thrower, running his heater into the upper 70s while getting whiffs with a low-70s SL.
Brian Owens
3B - 2029 - Los Angeles, CA
Owens displayed solid skills and upside for a ‘29. Showed fundamental actions in both the INF and OF with well above-average arm strength for his level. The swing is still developing, but he showed strength and intent, producing hard pull-side contact. On the mound, there’s effort in the operation, but he ran his heater up to 82 and flashed some secondary options with upside.
