Mason White (2022 SS, Oro Valley, AZ) put together a nice round of batting practice while exhibiting nice tools that will only continue to improve with physical strength. He offers a lefthanded stroke with plenty of looseness to his hands as he generates nice whip to the barrel through the zone.
Kyndon Lovell (2022 LHP, Fort Cobb, OK) impressed throwing 90 mph from the outfield and continued to show well with his lefthanded swing. He shows present quickness to his swing and was able to create steady barreled line drive contact to all fields.
Beau Edwards (2021 C, Houston, TX) is strongly built at 6-2/225 and he incorporates that physical strength well as he generates bat speed from the right side. There’s raw strength to his profile and he showed the ability to impact the baseball when barreled up and extended out front.
Rylan Galvan (2022 C, Sinton, TX), listed at a physical 5-10/160, showed well defensively behind the dish during drills and has nice tools to offer at the plate as well. A righthanded hitter, Galvin shows a short stroke and creates present bat speed through the zone with jump off the barrel.
Jordan Medellin (2022 SS, League City, TX) is a young switch-hitter who offers plenty of physical projection but also nice skills with the stick presently. He took his best reps from the right side, finding the barrel regularly with an easy stroke and contact out front.
Rene Galvan (2022 OF, Sinton, TX) is a long and projectable lefthanded hitter who shows interesting tools to monitor moving forward. With quick hands and a short stroke, Galvan was able to get extended out front while generating nice back spin off the barrel.
Jaquae Stewart (2023 1B, Sinton, TX) may only be in seventh grade but he sports present physical strength and incorporates that well into his lefthanded swing. He stayed short and quick to the ball and showed present bat speed with steady barreled contact to all parts of the field.
Cade Climie (2022 MIF, Sugar Land, TX) is already strongly built at 6-0/165 and he knows how to incorporate that strength from an offensive standpoint. Staying short with his path, Climie generates nice bat speed and showed solid jump off the barrel when squared and should continue to add leverage to his path.
Joseph Pendleton (2022 RHP, Waco, TX) begins with an open stance and does a nice job of getting closed while staying short to the ball with an easy stroke and solid jump to all fields. He’s able to get extended out front and showed back spun contact off the barrel with consistent hard line drive contact.
Canon Chester (2022 1B, Portland, TX) has some loading checkpoints to his swing, but when he’s on time he showed the ability to impress with the bat while staying short through the zone. His strength plays well at the dish with nice bat speed and present bat-to-ball skills.
John Michael Ramirez (2022 RHP, San Antonio, TX) took perhaps the loudest round of the day and connected for the lone home run of batting practice. Though listed as a primary pitcher, Ramirez showed very quick and strong hands with loud, back spun contact to his pull side.
Blake Mitchell (2023 C, Sinton, TX) may not be as physical as others on this list, but he’s only in seventh grade and already handles the barrel very well for his age. A lefthanded bat, Mitchell showed a nice feel for the barrel while working all parts of the field with extension out front.
Antonio Torres (2022 2B, El Paso, TX) is a young and projectable bat out of Texas who swung it well in his round of BP. He offers a short and direct path which he repeated well while creating extension out front with some interesting pop off the barrel.
Brayden Smalley (2022 1B, Weatherford, TX) created some of the louder contact off the barrel as he incorporated his strong 6-1/230 build into his lefthanded swing. He goes to the plate looking to elevate to his pull side and when he squares it up, there’s nice jump off the barrel.
