Nicholas Barone (2022 1B, Shirley, NY) continued to show off the ability to impact the baseball with authority, launching a deep double to centerfield. The long, lean first baseman creates a ton of leverage out in front and delivers the barrel with quickness to his hands.
Jack Williams (2024 OF, Katonah, NY) had himself a good day at the plate, collecting two hits in this one. He stays short and direct to the baseball, while displaying loose wrists and some whip to his barrel.
Andrew Reda (2022 MIF, Warwick, NY) displayed some power potential, scorching a loud RBI double to left centerfield. The uncommitted 2022 Grad exhibits good usage of his lower half and turns the barrel with quickness.
Max Jarvie (2024 RHP, Wilton, CT) displayed a solid overall hit tool with good feel for the barrel and good length through contact. He incorporates a simple, direct swing with loose, quick wrists and plenty of bat speed. He collected three hits in this one, including an RBI triple to left centerfield.
Stephen Ierides (2023 C, Seaford, NY) showed off his offensive prowess in this one, collecting two hits including an RBI double. The 2023 catcher uses a compact stroke with an inside-hand path and good hand-eye coordination
Jacob Guzman (2022 RHP, Yonkers, NY) was impressive in his three innings, as the compactly built right-hander allowed just 2 hits, no runs and struck out seven. He worked exclusively from the stretch, coiling into balance and worked into a short, compact arm action. He ran his fastball up to 82 mph, with good command of the outer half. He mixed in an 11-5 shaped curveball that flashed some downer action to it.
Danny Carr (2024 C, Paoli, PA) showed some intriguing arm talent, as he ran his fastball up to 83 mph and flashed a solid aptitude to spin the baseball. The long, lean right-hander pounded the strike zone, repeats well and displayed some downhill plane to his fastball. He mixed in a sharp biting slider with both horizontal and vertical tilt to it. The 2024 Grad has plenty of projection remaining and should continue to add more velocity long-term.
