Game 1: 1-Black vs. 3-Maroon

Leo Demetriou (2029 OF, Chicago, IL) jumped on the first pitch and sent it into center field for a triple. Displayed a level path with the hands working inside the baseball to drive it with authority.

John Blazer (2029 RHP, Strongsville, OH) turned on a pitch and barreled a double down the left-field line. Made good use of the lower half, getting the bat head out front with a direct path to the ball.

Jackson Edwards (2028 C, Peosta, IA) delivered an RBI triple into right field. Worked from an athletic setup with an easy swing and the ability to create quality contact.

Devon Hester (2029 3B, Chicago, IL) drove a fastball down the right-field line for a triple. Displayed good rhythm, letting the ball travel before driving it the other way.

 

Game 2: 1-Black vs. 2-Columbia Blue

Maxwell Aziaka (2028 OF, South Elgin, IL) sent a triple into right field. Operated from a balanced setup with good rhythm, a controlled load, and a smooth swing through contact.

Anderson Axe (2028 1B, Farmington Hills, MI) attacked the first pitch and drove a double into right-center field. Displayed a short, direct path with some strength and impact off the barrel.

Gavin Haurum (2028 RHP, Prairie Grove, IL) barreled a double into left field before stealing a base. Displayed barrel accuracy and instincts on the basepaths.

David Muller (2029 3B, McHenry, IL) struck out two over two innings on the mound. Ran the fastball up to 86 with good life and jump while mixing in a low-70s sweeping slider and a changeup with fade.

James Wasson (2027 RHP, Hinsdale, IL) struck out four over two innings while running a lively fastball up to 90 with arm-side run through the zone. Worked from a lower three-quarter slot with quick, whippy arm action while mixing in a low-70s sweeping slider and a changeup up to 80 with vertical depth.

Christian Wheeler (2029 C, Chicago, IL) drove a fastball into center field for a double. Displayed solid contact with a middle-of-the-field approach.

Aj Knizner (2027, Oswego, IL) spun 3 scoreless innings striking out 5. Running the fastball (2156 RPM) up to 84 with arm-side run. Mixed a curveball (2104 RPM) with 11-5 depth. Mixed in a change-up in the upper- 70s with arm-side fade.

John Blazer (2029, Strongsville, OH) worked 3 clean innings punching out 5. Worked with a fastball (2450 RPM) up to 86 good ASR and some life to it. Showed feel to spin a slider (2134 RPM) with 11-5 shape. Added to it with an RBI single into LF.

Ritchie Martinez (2028, Joliet, IL) 2 knocks in this one. Lined a triple into the backside gap. Stays inside it well using a compact operation to it. RHH shows solid bat-to-ball skills and hands that work direct.

Luke Torrance (2028, Aurora, IL) with 2 hits in game 1. Stays compact to contact with a flatter bat plane. Stays in the lower half well and shows some whip in the barrel. Creates leverage in the move.

Game 2:
Anderson Axe (2028, Farmington Hills, MI) lined a double into LF. Stays in the back hip and whips the barrel through the zone. Direct path to it before getting extended. Present strength in the lower half.

Daniel Houston (2027 1B, Mokena, IL) showcased present strength and impact during a productive round. Displayed quick hands with a direct, level path to the baseball, producing line-drives throughout the round.

Jacob Heier Jr (2029 SS, Ortonville, MI) produced quality contact, staying on time and driving the ball with authority. Works from an even setup with a controlled load, creating good separation with a compact bat path and good extension through the zone.

Finnley Gregoire (2027 OF, Plainfield, IL) flashed quick hands and present strength, getting the barrel out front to produce hard contact. Worked from a slightly open setup with high hands, a high leg lift, and rhythm in the box.

Luke Essary (2030 SS, Hawthorn Woods, IL) displayed good rhythm in the box and produced a solid contact in the round. Worked from an even, upright stance with a double tap stride, keeping the bat head through the zone and landing strong on the front side.

Jackson Martin (2030 OF, Clarendon Hills, IL) showed quick hands and a compact stroke, producing solid contact while staying through the zone. Worked from a narrow, upright setup with rhythm in the load and good posture in the swing.

Lucien Vachon (2031 SS, Elmhurst, IL) displayed a compact swing with solid barrel control. Worked from a balanced setup with rhythm, made good use of the lower half, loading into the back hip while staying in his legs.
