Gage Franck (2021 OF, Marion, IA) was the first hitter of batting practice and he got everything off to a solid start, showing a very accurate barrel generated by a nice, repeatable simple swing approach. He squared up almost every pitch and showed some carry to the gaps.
Noah Jouras (2021 C, Western Springs, IL) has good present strength at 6-0/190 and uses that strength well in his swing. He drove the ball from gap to gap and got plenty of jump off the barrel.
Coy Sarsfield (2021 OF, Marion, IA) is a quick twitch athletic with plenty of compact strength and he creates plenty of raw bat speed with his right handed swing. He gets a bit power happy at times as his future is working gap to gap and using his 6.5 speed to get extra bases.
Owen Puk (2021 RHP, Cedar Rapids, IA) is a primary 6-4/180 right handed pitcher but there is plenty of two-way talent there as well. He was very consistent in his timing and barrel accuracy and has plenty of leverage and extension through contact.
Kellen Strohmeyer (2022 SS, Dubuque, IA) already has a commitment to North Carolina and it looks like a major reason the Tar Heels want the young left handed hitter is because of his bat and projection. The 6-3/180 Strohmeyer has a smooth and fluid swing with present bat speed and lots of future power coming as he gets stronger.
John Doty (2021 1B, Urbandale, IA) looks the part of the power hitting first baseman at a still projectable 6-3/210 and generates very good right handed bat speed without much effort.
Mitch Wood (2021 SS, Ottumwa, IA) had a calm and simple middle of the field but it was on the couple of swings that he turned on the ball that he showed his strength and bat speed the best. The Iowa commit has a nice combination of offensive and defensive ability.
Brandon Ford (2021 MIF, Oak Park, MI) has quick hands and a short and effective swing. It was fun to watch him open it up near the end of his round and launch a bomb over the left field fence.
Bruce Jellison (2022 3B, Highland, MI) has a long and loose swing with very good extension out front. It's a power approach and the young right handed hitter showed his ability to drive the left centerfield gap, and beyond, very well.
Colter McAnelly (2023 SS, Cheyenne, WY) is a rare player from the state of Wyoming and is already a Missouri commit. He has a very projectable 6-3/175 build and a nice fluid swing that just going to keep adding bat speed as he fills in and gets stronger.
Tony Pluta (2022 C, Palatine, IL) has a compact 5-8/160 build and lots of quick twitch muscle. He showed impressive bat speed and raw power during his round with lots of jump off the barrel when he was timed up.
Gunner Aldridge (2021 2B, Lake Orion, MI) showed obvious next level bat speed from the left side with an attacking, pull oriented swing. We're looking forward to seeing him swing the stick in games.
