Carson Luna (2024 SS, Houston, TX) enjoyed a two-hit day at the plate, utilizing an all fields approach to collect singles in each of his first two at-bats. He also pitched and was up to 74 mph with short life.
Donald Sho Garcia (2024 SS, Newport Beach, CA), a primary shortstop, made an impression with the bat as he was able to generate nice carry off the barrel on a double to deep center field in today’s game, showing a fuller swing path through the zone.
Maximo Martinez (2024 SS, Hawthorne, CA) put his abilities on both sides of the ball on display today, running his fastball up to 83 mph while also swinging it well. Offensively, his hands are quick and loose and he does a nice job of getting the barrel through the zone.
Max Matteucci (2025 OF, Littleton, CO) made the most of his first at-bat of the game as he drove in two runs with a double in his first at0bat of the game, before coming around to score one of his own.
Mason Scott (2024 3B, Redmond, OR), like Matteucci above, helped get the scoring started for his team as he connected for a double in his first at-bat of the game to plate the first run for his club before quickly scoring later in the inning.
Henry Leipart (2024 OF, Encino, CA) had a very impressive day at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles. He’s athletically built and does a nice job of generating present bat speed through the zone, working both gaps with carry coming off the barrel.
Davis Downer (2024 1B, Mukilteo, WA) put a charge into a ball today for the Navy team, showing off his strength with jump off the barrel on a ball to the left-center gap which ended up as an inside the park home run as he moved well around the bases.
Reagan McCluskey (2025 C, Avila Beach, CA) sports an athletic build and utilizes a short, compact stroke to pick up a double in his first at-bat of the game, pulling his hands in to turn on a fastball to the left-center gap.
Blake Young (2025 OF, Lakewood, CO) was one of the younger players but he showed nicely with his athleticism in the outfield to make a diving catch in shallow left field before swinging it well with a shorter stroke from the right side.
