Ryan Gleason (2026 RHP, Shawnee, KS) showed off some two-way talent today, as he impressed on both sides of the ball. With the bat, he hammered an inside fastball down the line for a double, utilizing his quick hands and tight turns. On the mound, he ran his fastball up to 85 and struck out five in three innings of work.
Braeden Haworth (2025 LHP, Olathe, KS) turned in a quick and efficient three innings of work for Team White, striking out five opposing batters and allowing just one hit. The left-hander worked at an up tempo pace and was consistently in the zone attacking hitters. His fastball sat 75-77 mph and he had no problems with mixing locations to keep the opposition off balance.
Anson King (2026 OF, Kansas City, MO) was seeing the ball very well today, as he collected two well-struck base hits. He put a good swing on both balls, showing quick hands and the ability to get the barrel on plane early. His first hit was a hard line drive over the shortstop's head, and in his next at bat, he ripped a a double down the left field line.
Gustavo Leon (2025 SS, Olathe, KS) displayed some bat speed from the left side of the plate, as he smacked a screaming line drive into right center field for a triple. He showed off his speed on the base paths, as he motored around for a triple and made it home on an errant throw for an unofficial inside-the-park home run. He put a great swing on it and was rewarded for his hustle.
Kyler Vandonge (2024 SS, Topeka, KS) put together a nice piece of hitting in his first at bat of the day, as he shot one into the right-center field gap for a well-struck double. He kept his hands inside the ball and went with an outside pitch, proving that he can hit the ball to the opposite field with authority. Vandonge will continue to succeed with a mature approach like that.
Chase Harrington (2026 RHP, Emporia, KS) is a big bodied right-handed hitter with plenty of length in the frame, and he used that length to create leverage in the swing. He had quite the day at the plate, going two-for-two with two triples. He used both sides of the field to accomplish this feat, as he pulled a line drive to left field for his first, and barreled one to the right-center field gap for his next.
Jonah Magdich (2025 2B, Garfield, AR) hit one of the deepest balls of the day in his first at bat, as he crushed one into the left field corner for a double. He had no issues turning on a fastball early in the count and elevating it, as it hit the fence on the bounce. Magdich has a lean and athletic frame with room to fill, and hopefully he will continue to grow into more power and strength in the coming years.
Wyatt Vincent (2025 OF, Nixa, MO) was on the barrel all day today, and although his efforts did not show up in the stat sheet, they were certainly acknowledged by our scouts. He crushed two balls, one to left field and one to deep centerfield, but they were both hit right at the outfielders. In addition to his performance at the plate, he also gunned a runner out a home from centerfield.
Carson Bjorn (2026 1B, Parkville, MO) stands at a long and lanky 6-foot-3, and he used that length today to clobber a ball over the left fielders head for an RBI double. He also showed some promise on the mound, as he displayed a long and loose arm action and ran his fastball up to 80 mph from a deceptive slot.
