Trey Lipsey (2021, Southfield, Mich.) had a good game out of the leadoff spot for Team Ohio Pro Select in a semifinal victory, going. 3-for-4 with a trio of RBI. An Ohio State commit, Lipsey has a smooth and quick lefthanded stroke, finding the barrel to the pull side with consistency and flashing some game-changing speed around the bases. At 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, Lipsey’s athleticism allows him to do some of the little things on the field that make a big difference. The outfielder will be a problem for Big Ten teams at the next level, and is a potential MLB Draft type prospect to watch out for next June.
