Braden Holcomb (2023, Ocoee, Fla.) has been doing a lot of what we usually see out of him in that he has been driving the baseball with real authority all over the field. The large and extremely physical righthanded hitting third baseman is known for having some of the best raw strength in the entire class, and could very well compete for that title across a couple older classes as well, but it’s the consistency in which he can get to that strength that is impressive to watch. He stays quiet before exploding into his swing, staying efficient to the contact point and extending well through it. He has shown the ability to drive the ball to both sides of the field across a variety of pitching types, including showing that he isn’t fazed by a little bit of velocity when he barreled an upper 80's fastball for a hard line out to left field. It’s a joy to watch his approach each time out as he’s quite easily one of the toughest players to pitch to in the class.
