BCS Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2

Chance Fitzgerald (2023, Sanford, Fla.) was very impressive both in what he showed from a pure stuff and projection standpoint as well as from a results standpoint given that he is still 14U eligible and pitched up in the 17U division. The long and lean 6-1, 150 pound uncommitted righthander held 84-87 mph, bumping an 89 a few innings into the outing, with some sink to either half the lower three-quarters slot that he works from. There is definite feel to spin a solid sweeping slider with the makings of swing and miss potential, but there is still some ways to go given he struggled a little to land it near the zone with good action consistently. The arm speed, athleticism in the delivery and projection should be great attractors to college programs looking to add a talented upside righthander.
