Ben Moyzan is a 2022 RHP/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Bethlehem, PA who attends Notre Dame. Strong bodied senior right hander, good lower half maturity to drive his delivery. Works from the stretch with a high leg lift start and a high 3/4's arm slot, has a quick arm and repeats his mechanics well. Steady mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph with good sink and occasional cut, has a good feel for locating his fastball. Curveball was a good secondary pitch with 2700 rpm spin rates and tight 11/5 shape. Works under control and has advanced pitchability. 7.57 runner in the sixty. Third baseman on defense when he's not on the mound, has good lower half actions and footwork through the ball, hands works well, can change his arm slot throwing, good overall athlete. Right handed hitter, hits from a bent knee stance with a quiet load and trigger, hands are short and direct to the ball, swings hard and can impact the ball and create good backspin, solid line drive contact to all fields.
