John Harned is a 2018 SS/3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends East HS. Tall frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Right handed hitter with an open stance and compact hand load. Uses a mid-field approach with a slightly extended swing plane. Shows bat speed that produces line drive, ground ball to the middle of the field. Lower half showed rotational actions to contact with occasional shift. Worked out defensively from the infield showing a two handed funneling actions while surrounding the baseball. Smooth tempo actions while working through baseball creating some momentum into throws. Ball comes out clean at times with a long, loose arm action. Topped at 74 mph. Outstanding student.
