Carlos Rodriguez is a 2021 RHP with a 5-11 166 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends South Miami HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, utilizes a full and clean arm stroke through the back side working to a higher three-quarters release point. Loads hips with hip turn at top of delivery and creates nice torque coming down the mound while incorporating lower half. Gets on top of the ball well and generates plane to is fastball. Topped out at 89 mph and have seen into the low-90s this summer, aggressive with fastball and comes out of hand well. Repeats and mixed an 11-5 shaped curveball up to 73 mph with depth for strikes and flashed fading life down in the zone on the changeup up to 79 mph. Named to 14U National Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student. Verbal commitment to Miami. Selected to 14U PG Select Baseball Festival.
