2023 Top Prospects

Justin Higgins  SS - 2023 - New Canaan, CT
Davidson

Higgins looks and moves like a natural shortstop, with the ability to work low behind the ball to both sides and get rid of the ball quickly with nice carry on his throws. He swung the bat well and also ran the 60 in 7.14.

Marcus LeClair  1B - 2023 - Vienna, VA
Virginia Tech

Leclair is a very polished southpaw at a young age, with an upper 70's fastball that can be thrown with intent and life to different quadrants. His curveball was tight and also consistently spotted well during four shutout, low pitch count innings.

Chase Krewson  OF - 2023 - Bridgeville, PA
Duke

Krewson showed outstanding arm strength from right field and made accurate, on-line throws. The left handed hitter graded out as the top hitter in batting practice, with a strong swing with plenty of present bat speed and a strong pull side approach.

Alex Stanyek  OF - 2023 - Holmdel, NJ
Miami

Stanyek stood out defensively in centerfield during the games, showing range in every direction and getting very good jumps to fly balls. He also took on turn on the mound and was up to 81 with sound mechanics and the ability to throw strikes.

Terrence Rhodes  SS - 2023 - Richmond, VA
Uncommitted

Rhodes is a very good natural athlete who has plenty of time to figure out whether he's an infielder, outfielder or right handed pitcher. He topped out at 79 mph on the mound with a sharp curveball and took one of the best swings of the weekend on a double to the gap.

Dominic Brancel  C - 2023 - Huntsburg, OH
Harvard

Brancel was strong on both sides of the ball, which always stands out on a young catcher. He receives and blocks the ball well and had some of the best arm strength at the showcase. His right handed swing was strong and well timed.

Jake Kozlowski  OF - 2023 - Langhorne, PA
George Mason

Kozlowski is plenty projectable at a long 5-10/158 frame though he already shows plenty of interesting tools in the box. He's aggressive with his swing and shows quickness to his hands which helps generate nice impact at present to his pull side.

Andrew (AJ) Poole  1B - 2023 - McLean, VA
University of Mary Washington

Poole is a big and strong 6-2/190 athlete who has plenty of pop in his right handed bat. He also is likely to end up as a two-way prospect, as he threw 84 mph from the outfield and 80 mph off the mound.

Darnell W Parker Jr  SS - 2023 - Suffolk, VA
Wichita State

Parker has very smooth actions in the middle infield and a sound and loose right handed swing that makes consistent square contact. It's just a matter of the 5-6/125 eighth grader getting bigger and stronger so his raw tools start growing.

2024 Top Prospects

Jackson Sirois  SS - 2024 - Leesburg, VA
Virginia

Sirois is much the same situation as Parker, as the 5-10/125 right handed hitter has an excellent swing in all aspects except present bat speed, something that should keep improving with physical maturity and strength.
