He gets rid of the ball quickly and delivers it accurately to first base. McLaughlin also showcased intriguing bat-to-ball skills, generating consistent impact to all parts of the field. On Saturday, he posted a three-hit performance including a double in live action.
Hatch showcased an intriguing power tool at the plate during batting practice and later added multi-hit performances on both days of live action. The 6-foot right-handed hitter controls the barrel well throughout the zone and finds it at a high rate. He remains loose and under control in the batter’s box, oftentimes creating easy leverage to both alleyways. Hatch posted an exit velocity of 82 mph.
