3-Orange vs 4-Purple Game Highlights

John Koontz (2028 SS, Glen Allen, VA) continued his hot streak offensively, barreling yet another RBI single the opposite way in his first plate appearance of the game. The ’28 prospect has shown the ability to use all parts of the field and controls the barrel well for his age.

James Coulter Feehery (2028 SS, Alexandria, VA) made things happen in multiple ways for Team Orange, starting the game with two clean innings on the mound while also reaching base multiple times on the offensive end. 

Shawn Baker (2028 3B, Ashland, VA) came up clutch with an RBI double in the right center field gap during the bottom of the 3rd, showcasing the ability to go with an outside pitch and cover the zone effectively for impact to all parts of the field.

Brody Snelson (2028 OF, Henrico, VA) roped a double into the pull side gap during the top of the 5th, flashing solid bat speed with the ability to impact the baseball out in front.

Ethan Hatch (2028 3B, Franklin, VA) was another name who has seen the ball well all weekend, adding another two hits to the stat sheet including a double to the LF wall in the top of the 6th. The 6-foot, 205 pound righty has clear strength in the frame with good incorporation of the lower half in the stroke.

Mason Sutton (2028 OF, Glen Allen, VA) finished his day strong, drilling a standup double that one hopped the LF fence in the bottom of the 7th. The righty showcased the ability to turn on an inside pitch with present lift in the bat path to create carry.

3-Orange vs 4-Purple Game Highlights

John McLaughlin (2028 SS, Mechanicsville, VA) had himself a day at the plate, picking up two knocks including a barreled double to the base of the left field wall in the bottom of the 1st. The '28 prospect utilized a pull side / middle of the field approach with line drive tendencies present.

Ethan Hatch (2028 3B, Franklin, VA) was another standout offensively, picking up multiple hard barrels including a gap shot to right center field in the bottom of the 6th. Hatch worked all parts of the field and covered the zone well with clear strength in the hands.

Jackson Ross (2028 1B, Glen Allen, VA) picked up a pair of doubles at the plate, creating good separation and barrel extension with some inside out to the approach, creating carry to the opposite field gap.

Tucker Fodill (2028 MIF, Mechanicsville, VA) consistently found the good part of the barrel during his opportunities, peppering RF with carry and backspin production. He also picked up 2 SB on the base paths, showing multiple tools to his game.

Rhys Jones (2029 OF, Mc Lean, VA) was a perfect 3-3 on the day, as the 5-foot-7, 130 pound lefty repeated the stroke exceptionally with constant impact to the pull side of the field. 

John Koontz (2028 SS, Glen Allen, VA) had perhaps the loudest day at the plate, rocketing multiple extra base hits with easy jump off the barrel displayed. The 6-foot-1, 160 pound righty has evident strength in the hands while effectively creating leverage out in front.

Batting Practice Highlights

Owen Holsomback (2027 SS, Glen Allen, VA) showcased a direct path through the zone to generate consistent contact to all parts of the field during his round. The young 5-foot-7, 128 pound prospect displayed solid bat speed with sound barrel control that serve as solid foundations while the physicality develops.

Shawn Baker (2028 3B, Ashland, VA) displayed solid weight shift and present strength in the hands during his round to square up multiple baseballs gap to gap, as the 6-foot-1, 185 pound righty flashed young power production for his age.

Brody Snelson (2028 OF, Henrico, VA) put a simple approach on display to consistently create solid contact back up the middle of the field. The 5-foot-11, 165 pound prospect repeated the stroke well with multiple offensive tools at his disposal.

Tucker Von Herbulis (2028 3B, Glen Allen, VA) flashed line drive tendencies throughout his round with the ability to work all parts of the field. The '28 prospect generated backspin on the baseball and controlled the barrel well with a contact oriented approach.

Tucker Fodill (2028 MIF, Mechanicsville, VA) showcased solid bat speed through the zone starting from a slightly open base, generating impact from foul line to foul line while successfully keeping the bat path level. He flashed coordinated actions in the stroke and controlled the barrel well.
