2022 Top Prospects

Gabriel Flores  OF - 2022 - Longview, TX
University of Houston

Flores has a nice projectable 6-0/155 build and showed especially good bat speed and the ability to drive the ball with good extension and looseness through the ball. His outfield actions were polished for his age with nice raw arm strength.

2023 Top Prospects

Michael Cook  C - 2023 - Mansfield, TX
Air Force

Cook showed advanced catching tools behind the plate, including a very loose and quick arm that could be generating 80+ mph throwing velocities by the time he's a physically mature. He has plenty of bat speed and projected power with a right handed pull approach at the plate.

Boots Landry  3B - 2023 - Friendswood, TX
Texas A&M

Landry is a big and strong eighth grader at 6-0/170 with lots of tools. He has an advanced swing with very good bat speed and consistently squared up the ball. He was also up to 82 mph off the mound to highlight his arm strength.

Tate Hess  RHP - 2023 - Dequincy, LA
Louisiana-Lafayette

Hess is big and strong for his age at 6-1/180 and very well coordinated, too. He was up to 78 mph with his fastball on the mound but also showed right handed power at the plate and plus actions defensively at first base.

Dillon Lopez  C - 2023 - San Antonio, TX
Uncommitted

Lopez had some of the best bat speed among the 14U's with sound fundamentals and the ability to get the ball to carry, especially up the right centerfield gap. He also showed good arm strength behind the plate.

Colt Ericson  1B - 2023 - Mont Belvieu, TX
Uncommitted

Ericson has a long and loose 6-1/170 build and a low effort delivery on the mound. He worked in the 75-78 mph range and showed some spin and feel for a 68 mph curveball.

Michael Mayhugh  OF - 2023 - Spring Branch, TX
Princeton

Mayhugh showed a good balance of tools and some young strength on a 5-9/165 build. He made solid middle of the field line drive contact from the right side of the plate and was consistently on time.
