2025 Top Prospects
Joey Senstock  3B - 2025 - Lincoln, NE
Nebraska

It's rare a player can stand out defensively at an Indoor Showcase but Sensock, a Nebraska commit, did exactly that. He was outstanding during infield drills, then looked like a natural behind the plate catching. His left-handed bat definitely plays as well.

Carson Umphres  OF - 2025 - Great Bend, KS
Northeast Texas CC

The 6-5/195 Umphres is an outstanding athlete and his 6.65 sixty time and 88 mph outfield throw, along with his 97 mph exit velocity, all were the top marks at the showcase. How he develops with his right-handed bat will be very interesting.

Micah McGavran  C - 2025 - Olathe, KS
Uncommitted

McGavran stands out physically at 6-3/215 with obvious plus strength. But he was surprisingly loose and agile behind the plate and had a strong arm on top of it. He built on the athletic theme with a 7.02 sixty at that size.

Tyler Strongman  C - 2025 - Prairie Village, KS
Uncommitted

Strongman fits his name with a solid 6-0/190 build and he has next level tools behind the plate, with nice footwork and good arm strength/accuracy. Not surprisingly, power is the best part of his right handed bat.

Hudson Powers  OF - 2025 - Olathe, KS
Highland CC-Illinois

Powers is a live bodied young outfielder with a nice left-handed bat. He gets into his lower half well in his set up and unleashes some very good bat speed, with hard contact to all fields. He's a 7.01 runner who looks faster.

Caleb Jones  OF - 2025 - Nixa, MO
Uncommitted

Jones is an outstanding athlete with a strong 6-3/200 build to go with 6.80 speed and an 84 mph arm from the outfield. How much is left-handed swing comes will determine his baseball ceiling.

2026 Top Prospects
Johnny Carver  LHP - 2026 - Raymore, MO
Arkansas

An Arkansas commit, Carver was the event's standout both on the mound and with the bat. He worked in the 86-89 mph range with his fastball to go with a solid slider/change up combination and good control. It seemed like the left-handed hitter dominated every at-bat during the game as well.

Wesley Brown  LHP - 2026 - Kingsville, MO
State Fair

Brown has a strong build with some physical maturity for a sophomore and a fast left arm. He levers over his front side very well to create a fastball up to 86 mph that had plenty of swing/miss life and also threw a curveball and change up.

Brody Cooper  RHP - 2026 - Berryton, KS
NIACC

Cooper has a lively arm that produced a fastball up to 85 mph to go with a 6-2/180 build that is very projectable. His change up was notable for his ability to really kill the spin on the pitch.

Jon Primmer  OF - 2026 - Omaha, NE
Briar Cliff University

Primmer is a strong 6-1/190 sophomore with tools on both sides of the ball. He has plenty of pop in his left handed bat and good arm strength at third base. Primmer threw a heavy low 80's fastball but also spun a 73 mph slider over 2400 rpm.

Dawson Steele  RHP - 2026 - Louisville, NE
Uncommitted

Steele has a nice athletic 6-2/185 build with some present strength and good projection. He worked consistently at 82-83 mph but his best pitch was a 67 mph curveball with mid-2200's spin that was tunneled very well with his fastball and created some bad looks for hitters.

Desmond White  3B - 2026 - Walnut Shade, MO
Uncommitted

White is an interesting athlete with a strong core that drives his game. He has solid defensive tools at third base and was impressive on the mound, throwing a very low spin rate 83 mph fastball and a high spin rate 70 mph slider.

2027 Top Prospects
Kam Smith  RHP - 2027 - Girard, KS
Arkansas

Smith checks all the boxes to be a high ceiling young pitcher. He has a very young 6-2/160 build to go along with a clean arm action and a fastball that already touches the mid-80's. His mid-70's slider might have been his best pitch this outing. And Smith as the genetics box checked as his father, Dan, pitched in the big leagues for four years.
