Kappler looked comfortable on both sides of the ball this weekend, hitting .400 while also running his fastball up to 80mph. There’s some ease in the operation at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds and he utilizes his long limbs well.
Cosca had a loud defensive workout and hit well during BP, raising a few eyebrows. The 5-foot-9, 175 pound catcher hit .667 while drawing two walks this weekend. Cosca has an efficient, balanced right-handed swing. Two-way traits; he’s up to 80mph on the mound.
Biles delivered quality contact all weekend, utilizing a smooth and quick left-handed swing. The Empire State native impressed, hitting .500 on the weekend. Biles has a solid blend of athleticism, contact skills, and defensive ability. Lots to like.
The athletic 6’0 primary SS had an excellent defensive workout and running a 6.97 sixty yard dash. Hit .600 on the weekend including a double. Possesses impressive hand speed for the age with whip in the barrel.
Had one of the best offensive workouts and backed in up in game. Let the barrel fly a couple times hitting multiple doubles and 2 rbis. Simple and repeatable swing in the box with some feel for the barrel. Athletic behind the dish and controls the body well.
