Beckett Lourenco is a 2030 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Belleview. Tall and strong athletic build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a slightly open stance with a simple stride into contact, upper body rotational swing with a slight uphill swing path, works gap to gap and showed the ability to drive the opposite field gap, projects more power in the future. 7.01 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, projects as a third baseman moving forward especially as he continues to grow, has good hands and a quick exchange, makes the routine plays smoothly. Also worked out in the outfield, arm worked better on the grass with good loose extension and some carry. Took a turn on the mound, worked from the stretch with a low leg raise and good use of his strong lower half coming down the mound. Fastball topped out at 82 mph. Slider with short cutter shape was his most effective pitch and was tunneled well with his fastball, also threw a soft curveball with less arm speed. Excellent student.
