2029 Top Prospects
Noah Patenaude  OF - 2029 - San Diego, CA

Noah showed well in all facets last weekend. Sold mover in the OF, working through the baseball while flashing quality arm strength for his level (80 mph). Offensively, he got off strong hacks in-game driving a couple hard barrels into the LC gap. On the mound, it’s a clean delivery. Worked the FB into the upper 70s (T78) and mixed in a quality upper 60s breaker.

Jacob Gutierrez  C - 2029 - Brentwood, CA

Gutierrez was a barrel machine both in BP and in-game. Shows a rhythmic stroke where he creates good separation at launch with a swing that shows strength and works flat through. Impacted balls into both gaps throughout the weekend. Quality glove actions in the INF and catch/throw ability behind the plate (2.07). Also jumped on the mound, where he ran his fastball up to 77 and flashed strong spin traits to his mid 60s breaker (~2400 RPMs).

Benny Kelejian  SS - 2029 - Fresno, CA

Benny showed well in just about everything he did last weekend. Fundamental actions at SS where his hands work well and he got off accurate throws across. At the plate, he put together a good round of BP where he throws a flatter/level barrel through with flashes of some strength and bat speed. Even looked solid on the mound where he has clean mechanics he repeats well. Mixed in an upper 70s fastball and a slider that has some quality traits.

JJ Adame  3B - 2029 - San Ramon, CA

JJ was one of the better bats and arms our staff saw last weekend. Was on-barrel the majority of his BP round pounding LDs through the middle and to the PS gap where he showed some good rhythm and intent to his swing where he works the barrel on a flatter path through. The swing translated into gameplay where he had a hard GB back up the box and also drove one deep into the LC gap. On the mound, he showed a shorter/quick arm within a repeatable operation. Ran it up to 81 with the fastball that exhibited some natural running action. Also spun a quality breaking ball as well.

Vincent Doyon  RHP - 2029 - El Dorado Hills, CA

Doyon was arguably the best arm our staff saw in this 14U All-State group. Real sound and athletic delivery with a fast arm that ran his fastball up to 81, living upper 70s. Attacked with the fastball where it produced several late whiffs. Mixed in a quality SL with shorter shape. Doyon also collected a couple hits at the plate where he worked the barrel on a direct path while staying inside it well.

Miles Ford  OF - 2029 - West Sacramento, CA

Ford showed intriguing traits on the mound from the left side. Easy effort and repeatable. Some slight crossfire to the delivery where he hides it well before release. Ran the fastball up to 78 where it exhibited some natural running action and produced whiffs up in the zone.

Jahari Page  SS - 2029 - Hayward, CA

Page was one of the projectable athletes we saw last weekend. At 6-foot-3, 175 pounds showed quality actions at SS especially with his glove which he paired with an 81 mph arm across. At the plate, had a strong round of BP showing decent hand speed from both sides while turning the barrel well through the zone.
