JJ Adame (2029 3B, San Ramon, CA) got off several good hacks throughout the weekend. The two that stood out was a hard GB shot back up the box and a LD knock into the LC gap. Rhythmic stroke that uses a bigger leg lift trigger. Shows strength to the hands where the barrel works direct at entry and flattens into contact. Also impressed on the mound with two shutout innings of work where he ran his fastball up to 81.
Colby McDaniel (2029 RHP, Poulsbo, WA) collected three hits in seven ABs this past weekend. Simple stroke where the hands work short to the baseball with some present barrel accuracy.
Jahari Page (2029 SS, Hayward, CA) was on barrel a couple times during gameplay. Simple swing operation with minimal moving parts. Hands/barrel work short-to-long through with an up the middle approach.
Darin Poquiz (2029 OF, El Dorado Hills, CA) got off two of the better swings on Saturday, driving one to the RF wall in right for a triple and followed that up with a line shot into the LC gap. He gets his foot down early and swings it with damage intent. Flatter path and creates good leverage with his lower-half.
Anthony Talavera (2029 1B, Belmont, CA) collected two LD pull side knocks on Saturday. Simple LH stroke showing an easy move into launch where the barrel works on a flatter/level path through the zone.
Jacob Gutierrez (2029 C, Brentwood, CA) was easily one of the more impressive performers this past weekend. Multiple XBHs where he showed flashes of quality all-fields impact for his level. Creates good separation into launch and shows strength to the hands where he worked the barrel flatter through with balance.
Noah Patenaude (2029 OF, San Diego, CA) got off two really strong in-game hacks this past weekend. Drove one over the LF's head for a double and the next day he lined one over the SS for a single. Easy/natural rhythm to the swing with a hard turn of the barrel. Noah also flashed some ability on the mound with a clean shutout inning where his fastball worked into the upper 70s.
Benny Kelejian (2029 SS, Fresno, CA) found a couple loud barrels to the pull side. Operates from a spread stance. Barrel flattens early at launch and he throws it level through the zone with decent strength at impact. Also added two shutout innings on the mound, running it up into the upper 70s with his fastball.
Vincent Doyon (2029 SS, El Dorado Hills, CA) got off multiple good hacks and also shined on the mound. Stays inside the baseball nicely while flashing some decent quickness to the hands. Also showed strong armspeed, running it up to 81 with the fastball in his two quality innings of work.
Justin Eliskovich (2029 RHP, Cameron Park, CA) found one of the louder barrels of the weekend when he drove a double deep over the CF's head. Matched planes well on a high fastball. Flashes of some strength and bat speed.
Miles Ford (2029 OF, West Sacramento, CA) was another two-way player that had his moments during gameplay. Found a decent barrel, lining one into the LC gap. Also threw two quality innings from the left side showing an easy efforty operation where he still ran his fastball into the upper 70s.
