2029 Top Prospects
Anthony Socias  SS - 2029 - Galveston, TX

Socias was a big standout with feel. Ran a 7.07 and was 84 mph across the diamond and 82 mph from the outfield. Has a really good hit tool for age and looks the part, low-80s on the hill.

Robert Adam  1B - 2029 - Houston, TX

Big time two-way with strength all over. Lefty bat with 85 EV that showed in game. Strong showing from OF/IF drills and has arm talent on the hill.

Jack Szumal  LHP - 2029 - Fulshear, TX

Szumal is another two-way talent. Ran it up to low-80s on the hill with feel to spin. 80/79 from the OF and IF with strong actions and an arm. Feel for a loose lefty swing that sprayed triples, as well.

Cody Carlton  1B - 2029 - Spring, TX

Carlton is physical for grade with an 84 mph exit velocity and a heavy barrel. He was 81 from the OF and 80 from first base with quality actions. Has a good mix on the bump too.

Justin Leonard  LHP - 2029 - Houston, TX

Leonard is a good athlete with big strength potential. Ran a 7.04 sixty with a good amount of bat speed from the left side and impact out front. Makings of a big arm from the outfield and on the bump too.

John Drew Mundine  OF - 2029 - Geronimo, TX

Mundine ran a 7.45 with big arm strength all throughout. Up to 82 mph on the bump already with power mix. Threw 81 from the OF with budding strength at the plate too.

Baylen Garcia  C - 2029 - Bryan, TX

Garcia has huge arm strength with several caught stealings behind the plate in game. Popped a 2.06 in drills, was 83 mph across and has juice from both sides.

Griffin Zipter  C - 2029 - Houston, TX

Zipter is a solid backstop with big time strength and impact. Sprayed balls to both gaps and the impact showed in game. 80 mph exit velocity with a solid mix on the hill too.

Ryder Klesel  RHP - 2029 - La Grange, TX

Klesel threw 80/79 from the outfield and infield with quality actions and arm strength. Solid contact skill, strong arm behind the plate and already has feel to pitch on the bump.

Colton Castro  C - 2029 - Missouri City, TX

Castro is advanced behind the plate for his grade. Ran a 7.07 and popped a 2.00 with a strong arm. Also had a good arm from the outfield and has feel for the barrel with a smooth swing.

Hudson Hill  C - 2029 - San Antonio, TX

Hill is a good athlete for age and threw 79 mph from the outfield with a quality pop time in drills. Quick hands at the plate, contact skill showed in game.

Mikey Mendoza  C - 2029 - San Antonio, TX

Mendoza really showed out in games and was one of the top performers in the entire event. Innate feel for the barrel for age with a big time gap-to-gap approach.

Cayden Sheffler  OF - 2029 - Spring, TX

Sheffler has the makings of huge arm talent for age. High-70s from a low slot and a sharp breaking ball and changeup. Good arm strength from the outfield and first base, as well.

Jay Squillante  C - 2029 - Houston, TX

Big arm strength from the OF (84 mph) and behind the plate or even on the bump (78 mph). Strong frame and uses the arm well and projects well.


2030 Top Prospects
Colton Berend  1B - 2030 - Wichita Falls, TX

Berend has advanced strength and size for age. Produced an 87 mph exit velocity with loud strength in his bat. Shows some good arm talent on the hill and looked the part actions wise at first base.

Brendan Mathwig  OF - 2030 - The Woodlands, TX

Mathwig is a really strong athlete for his grade. Good mover who produced on-line throws from the outfield. High-70s on the bump already with budding bat speed in a lefty stick.

Cruz Lagrange  C - 2030 - Liberty Hill, TX

Lagrange showed out all over the field. Solid arm strength from infield and catcher with quick actions and pop times. High-70s on the bump with great feel for the barrel.

Kaden Canady  OF - 2030 - Gilmer, TX

Canady was really solid. A good athlete with arm strength, up to 80 from the outfield and showed the same in his infield drills. Quick hands at the plate too.

Luc Wood  RHP - 2030 - College Station, TX

Wood is another physical talent. Produced an 80 mph exit velocity with good arm strength behind the plate or moving in the infield. Can get on the hill and compete, and he has good strength at the plate.

Alec Webb  OF - 2030 - Sugar Land, TX

Webb showed plenty of feel for the barrel at his age. Handled pitches well, and showed some promising arm strength all over the diamond.
